Pascal Roge played this piece as an encore to his performance with the Reno Chamber Orchestra on January 28 and 29, 2012. 500 people sat in rapt silence. Pascal creates an ambiance in about three notes. His touch is so soft and deft that one wonders how he generates sound. Seeing him perform adds immensely to the overall effect of a gorgeous work played by a great pianist.
as a young child of 5-6 years old, she visited Hitler a few times, with her mother, in his Austrian infamous Berghof. There she used to play with Martin Bormann's children. He was Hitler's most important secretary. But it's not like they had any choice, when you got invited, you went. No questions asked...
to @kleinbittersdorf-thats a really dumb statement. Romy was only 7 yrs old when WW2 ended. Kids that age dont have control of whats happening around them.
The music is very suitable to this video, Satie's piano suit much better as background music, like this one: beautiful, elegant, romantic & sad, describe the whole life of Romy schneider.
All of the actresses of our generation can find themeseves in miniature on this remarkable beauty....... perhaps she is not beautiful... but higher than that..
Upstaged by Ursula Andress? You must be kidding me? I've seen that film too. Not impressed by it at all! Hollywood and Romy didn't fit. Romy is a legend and has made her most remarkable films in France. Fine? Romy was brilliant and beautiful and endearing and funny and graceful and.........
I first discovered who Romy Schneider was, when my mom took us to the cinema to watch the film Sissi...the most beautiful princess I´ve ever seen! And I loved the three films and the books...she was so versatile, as in Bocaccio 68 (was it the year?) and in the romantic and tragic French movie, Christine, with Alain Delon. This video is SUBLIME. A beautiful tribute to a beautiful and tragic woman.
She was an exhilarating actress and deserves all the attention you so generously have given her. She was powerful and appealing. If only tragedy hadn't been her end.
Schneider began drinking alcohol in excess after the sudden death of her 14-year-old son David on July 5, 1981. David had attempted to climb the spiked fence at his stepfather's parents home when he punctured his femoral artery. When Romy Schneider was found dead in her apartment in Paris on May 29, 1982, it was suggested that she had committed suicide by taking a lethal cocktail of alcohol and sleeping pills. go to wikipedia
It's also possible the combination of alcohol and drugs and her broken heart killed her. Romy was one of the greatest actresses that this world has ever known. A woman beloved by men and women. This video is greatl. The music suits Rom, she was so gracefully beautiful. She has played such remarkable parts I wish I could get the dvd's somewhere.
I'm glad you enjoyed it She was very beautiful and a great actress. If you liked this music, I'm working on a new video that will have a rare and special piece of music( I think anyway). Hope to have it up soon. Thanks.

I've seen Romy Schneider only in "What's New, Pussycat?" She was fine, but upstaged by Ursula Andress, who could probably have upstaged God...
