hey i have the same truck and was wondering if you knew the max tire size for this truck? i have a ext bed so the rear end sits a little higher than yours. from what i read it says 31x10.5 and thought that might be a little big..(its 2x4 xl)

I got the exact same ranger and I was wanting to give it a little lift, I got 14"s on it. Is there anyway I could get some springs or something for it? Or do I have to spend about $600 on some tires and rims? lol
@SlayerAndWhiskey You know, honestly to tell you the truth, springs are probably a good way to give it a lift, and to get rid of weak bounce if you have one. But mainly a suspension lift kit would be even better. You just want to balance out the space of the wheel well with larger tires though.
@SlayerAndWhiskey But also if your looking to spend less than $600 than springs might be good. I want to say you might be looking at aroun $200-300 depending on who puts the springs in.
@SlayerAndWhiskey Well a 3" body lift will give you a bit of clearance, but if you have cash.. go for a suspension lfit man. 4-5-6-7-8 inches of lift, your choice. the more lift, the more expensive though.. but, definitely makes a truck look awesome. Get some wheel spacers, a suspension lift, AND a body lift.. and you'd have a kick ass truck. *note* with wheel spacers, (in British Columbia anyways) you HAVE to buy fender flares, to cover the area the tires stick out.
Yeah I havn't yet, and I need to get that done, I'm going to have it lifted instead of spacers, I've known that there have been problems with spacers. And I'll be getting a realignment after the lift as well.
I actually just painted it with a can of Rustoleum Matte Black Outdoor/indoor furniture spray paint... I just washed down the grill really well, and sprayed away.
buy the billet grill on ebay i did for my 97 and it looks awesome

You paid 900!?! Holy poops! I got the exact same rims with everything for 350. I think you got ripped off... unless that includes the tires.
OriginalRanger84 2 years ago
It included the tires. The original owner of the tires really paid about 1k. But he never used them so he gave them to me for 900.
