i use to have 2004 R1. Normal front sprocket- 1st gear 168 km/h. 16T front sprocket 164 km/h,but more power and wheelie @ 1st gear is "MUST".

I'm sorry, what bike did you mean when you said "mine would top out at 147?" I assumed you meant the R1 bike. The R1 is a bike from yamaha in case you didn't know, it's one of yamaha's best bikes not to mention one of the world's best bikes :)

its not weird man. although your zx10 has more low down torque then this model r1, this r1 is only being quarter throttled upto rev limit in 1st. this r1 will easily power lift in first and second just depends how violent you are with the throttle.

It will power up in 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and 6th.

no it wont. You would be hard pressed to get it up past 220. just because of the lack of mid range torque. 1st 2nd and maybe 3rd

My buddy can throttle up his 636 in 5th, so I'm basing it on that...can't imagine a 1L couldn't do better. Not saying I can...I can only throttle up my 600 in 3rd.

yes after the evo exhaust and pc com it hits 180 now.. the 160 was very old at that time the bike was only 2000 kms
