@TheHomeScene I'm not using any mics at all actually :) I record all of my acoustic and classical guitars directly with the built-in preamps and an audio interface.

@CapnPuff69 Thanks! I think the Granada classical guitar cost me about €400. I've had it for quite a long time though so I don't remember exactly... The only effects that I used for the classical and acoustic guitars are some reverb, delay and a bit of EQ.

At 0:19, how do you do the slide? You've written it on the tab as an open string, first fret and then open string, how do you slide between those?

@A3onstorm You can't really slide between those notes to be honest. I played it with hammer-ons and pull-offs instead of a slide actually.

Do you pick up the melody and try around with the bass on the guitar, or do you have any "scales" to get the bassline and so ?

@RockGodFuck Well, luckily most of the tune has already been composed ;) When I need to make arrangements though, I usually sit down with my guitar, figure out the basic notes, put the song or a certain part of it on loop and just play along until I come up with something I like. Knowing some scales does really help indeed but mostly it's just about trying to be creative and coming up with cool rhythms and melodies.

wow you summed it up quite nicely. couldn't have said it better myself. I try saying this to people. I haven't uploaded any guitar covers yet, I will when I get a camera, I wont get a pod farm anytime soon though but I do just what you do. Hell I actually try figuring out your songs by ear before looking at the tab. it's actually more productive, and helps for practice. I figure out all vg songs by ear as well since, like you said, they're already composed.

hi, i'm learning the lead part of this song from your tab and from the video. for the parts where you are playing lead, i can see how your fingers move, but for example, in the first part after the intro, do you hold chord shapes down and simply play notes from the chord, allowing them to ring, or do you play every note individually and then end the sound when you play the next?

I noticed that you play a lotta the different guitar positions urself, how long does it take you to do all the diff positions, and add the drums in?

@SennKuro Well, the actual recording doesn't take that long at all. I think the recording itself only takes about two hours or so depending on the length and complexity of the song. What really takes time is arranging the song, figuring out all the different parts and programming the drums. In general I believe that programming a drum track takes me about 2-3 hours depending on the song.

This is the most amazing cover ive ever heard. I had a very dark depressing childhood but when i listen to this is brings back the few good memories i have and it puts my mind at peace, its so nostalgic it gives me chills and almost brings me to tears.
