@TheHomeScene I'm not using any mics at all actually :) I record all of my acoustic and classical guitars directly with the built-in preamps and an audio interface.
@legoman1171 Hey, good to hear you're trying to play again! At the moment I just have a tip section on my website but those aren't really lessons... Best thing would be to get a guitar teacher or, if that's not an option, get a good book on playing guitar. If you need any help with specific techniques though, don't hesitate to send me a message.
@KabloKashew I think Ralph Denyer's 'The Guitar Handbook' is an excellent book to learn all about playing, techniques, theory and even repair and maintenance.
Good quality for all the video, lot of respect for your amazing stuf, like the way you play those fabulous song! I don't write a lot of coment on Youtube, but, you deserved it! Seriously, continue this way, You make us dream about old time! Love it!
I've compiled all of your Zelda songs into a playlist that I listen to when I play LttP, which is about 4 hours a day. I like messing with sh*t in 16-bit.
am i able to use this song in a project of mine? if it ends up successful ill end up making money and i will actually send you about 10% of what i earn if it gets anywhere. highly unlikely it will go anywhere but if i have your permission to include this it would make it just that much better.
@nickisepicwin Hey! I absolutely have no problems at all with people using my covers and I always appreciate when someone does. However, if it's for a commercial purpose it's not legal to do so since I didn't own any rights of the songs. As much as I would like to I'm terribly sorry that I can't give you permission for legal reasons. Thanks for understanding!
@CapnPuff69 Thanks! I think the Granada classical guitar cost me about €400. I've had it for quite a long time though so I don't remember exactly... The only effects that I used for the classical and acoustic guitars are some reverb, delay and a bit of EQ.
Do you pick up the melody and try around with the bass on the guitar, or do you have any "scales" to get the bassline and so ?
I'm very interrested in fingerstyle guitar and i composed a few song but only the melody i don't come any further, maybe becouse i don't know how to start ?
It would be very nice if you give a respond :) Thank you
@RockGodFuck Well, luckily most of the tune has already been composed ;) When I need to make arrangements though, I usually sit down with my guitar, figure out the basic notes, put the song or a certain part of it on loop and just play along until I come up with something I like. Knowing some scales does really help indeed but mostly it's just about trying to be creative and coming up with cool rhythms and melodies.
wow you summed it up quite nicely. couldn't have said it better myself. I try saying this to people. I haven't uploaded any guitar covers yet, I will when I get a camera, I wont get a pod farm anytime soon though but I do just what you do. Hell I actually try figuring out your songs by ear before looking at the tab. it's actually more productive, and helps for practice. I figure out all vg songs by ear as well since, like you said, they're already composed.
Man this theme is so relaxing.... like ganondorf's destroying every single spot of hyrule but you're over-extasy'ed in zora's domain probably doing random chat or swiming around
hi, i'm learning the lead part of this song from your tab and from the video. for the parts where you are playing lead, i can see how your fingers move, but for example, in the first part after the intro, do you hold chord shapes down and simply play notes from the chord, allowing them to ring, or do you play every note individually and then end the sound when you play the next?
@A3onstorm Hey! I play all the notes individually. What I usually do is hold the chord shape but mute each note before and after it's played. Hope this helps :)
Probably the best collection of original zelda covers I've ever seen. I'm a complete zelda nut. I also like the use of your 7 on the Twinrova song. Again, real big fan man, sounds great.
@SennKuro Well, the actual recording doesn't take that long at all. I think the recording itself only takes about two hours or so depending on the length and complexity of the song. What really takes time is arranging the song, figuring out all the different parts and programming the drums. In general I believe that programming a drum track takes me about 2-3 hours depending on the song.
@CSGuitar89 Wow, I wish I could learn how to do that. You're awesome. You've made me want a Nintendo 64 just ta play Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask haha! Thanks for bringing back all my old memories of the games! Keep up the good work.
You are playing this song very good! I'm a very big Zelda fan, and I love the Zora's domain soundtrack. You are playing this song like a hero! I'm getting goosebumbs everytime i listen too you!
i wish i could play the guitar. i feel like my fingers are too short though. kills my fingers and the strings are hard as hell to press down. and finger picking seems difficult as hell
Zora's Domain is my absolute favorite from the LoZ soundtrack, I dig it cuz I'm an islander and this song captures the island mood soooo well! and you sir did an excellent job!

At 0:19, how do you do the slide? You've written it on the tab as an open string, first fret and then open string, how do you slide between those?
A3onstorm 8 months ago
@A3onstorm You can't really slide between those notes to be honest. I played it with hammer-ons and pull-offs instead of a slide actually.
CSGuitar89 7 months ago
@CSGuitar89 oh really? It sounds really smooth for a hammer on and pull off.

@A3onstorm , you could move it to a lower string and slide from 5th fret to 6th fret :)
