No totalitarian authority nor authoritarian state can tolerate those who have an absolute by which to judge that state and its actions. The Christians had that absolute in God's revelation. @DJRedMEDIA There is no war. Christians are simply deluding themselves by believing their primitive, hateful religion has a basis in fact and morality. As people become more educated it becomes more difficult for them to swallow the despicable dogma that is propagated by your evil cult. That is exactly why christianity is losing large numbers of adherents in America even as the Non-Religious segment grows larger. Therefore, there is no war because people are choosing knowledge over ignorance.

@sailcat9 What really scares you is when Christians do reach your level of intelligence and comprehension, it makes you break into a cold sweat because it's scary to look at Christians walking around with the tangible comprehension of scientific knowledge, it makes us a threat to insecure people like yourself because we are equally educated in scientific studies yet carry a spiritual knowledge that you can continue to address as irrelevant banter. @DJRedMEDIA Trust me, you don't want to live as an Atheist, that's a rough life to live just like the homosexuals that are constantly judged from day to day, there's no benefit in obsessing yourself with this more than depressant lifestyle. Sure, you may become a genius some day, but what good is it if you don't have the spiritual knowledge to be a good person and show off that intelligent knowledge. See what I'm saying, it offers you nothing, just an empty void with no end goals or content!

Life is wonderful, why treat it as if it's worthless. Life is religion, you go outside everyday with the faith that you will get to your destination on time and that everything will run smoothly. I honestly don't want to see you live the life of an Atheist, you'll end up being a cold person that will die alone. Fill your life with good times!

@sailcat9 Open your eyes very big and free your mind, only then will you get at what I'm saying, it may take 10, 20, 30 years, but eventually you will see why people are truly turning their backs on God, it's not because of ignorance over knowledge, but give it time, life will teach you valuable lessons that you will cherish forever.

@DJRedMEDIA One lesson I have already learned is that your religion is based on the primitive myths of an ancient band of ignorant nomads and while their stories are mildly interesting, it takes a special type of willful self-deception to believe in them as, well, the gospel truth. I see nothing remotely moral in this.

@sailcat9 I will go into one hypothesis though, you probably are in the later stages of your life, and to this day still challenge what you see before you, all the efforts you put towards trying to deny the existence of a higher power could have been put into something constructive, like helping the poor, giving to the less fortunate, and creating a positive energy. If it truly sickens you to hear that and you honestly believe that humanity is doomed, than pull the trigger on this conversation!

@sailcat9 It's actually very corny, but people turn away from putting their faith in something so that they can hide behind something, they don't want the world to see there vulnerability, and it's natural human instinct to believe that. We don't want the world to see our weak spots, unfortunately, Atheism itself is a religion, the only true non-religion preceding on this planet is Agnosticism, because they doubt everything. @DJRedMEDIA For example upon death an Atheist would conclude that the light around him is the oxygen support being cut off from the brain and the shutdown of the nervous system. A religious person is going to believe that the light is a divine entity, but the Agnostic is going to doubt what he sees, going through a chain of possibilities, it could be oxygen, maybe its a deity, saying it could be this or could be that, this man will die in doubt.

2011's here. Aside from that Breivik nutter (Christian!) who bombed a government building then shot children, I have yet to see massive Christian persecution over terrorism. On the other hand, someone slightly coffee-colored walks past certain groups and is immediately suspected of having a bomb under his coat at all times-- whether or not he's even Arabic, given that Sikhs have been murdered over that same paranoia. Less fear, more living. You'll be rather more happy that way.

@DJRedMEDIA I'd implore you to read what a scientific theory, most laymen believe a scientific theory is the same as the word "theory" that most people use in common language. Scientific theories are whole system of supportive FACTS. Also in science it is VERY hard to "prove" something, because the standards by which something must be proven is VERY high in science. Gravity is just a theory in science. Whether or not it exists is not in question, but the mechanics are.
