Well, I am born in the Netherlands but there also bad aspects of our country. It used to be a very tolerant country which I was proud of. But now, there are a lot of people who are afraid of foreigners espacially non-European foreigners. In the 90's it was great to be Dutch when people where open-minded, social though ambitious and spontanious.

But I don't think in the way of Dutch, English or whatever. We are all people. That is the most important thing.

The difference here is that more people adapt and learn the language, and become positive members of society. My parents came to this country in 1979 as political refugees in the aftermath of the Vietnam War. To make it short, we have assimilated to the Dutch way of life very well.
