  • I find it :))) The name of the song is " Telephoné mwen" ;)

  • Does anybody know the title of this song? Thank you very much!

  • You should change the title to Zouk Lambada. You make people angry by calling this just Zouk lol.

  • Ce n'est pas comme ça que se danse le zouk! C'est quoi ça? Un mélange de rock et de salsa... Avec sa tenue on dirait une patineuse! Mdr.

  • HAHAHAHAHHA ZOUK????? LOLL SALSA U MEAN.

  • @marvscole this is NOT salsa

  • @TheJMSalinas Is not Zouk either!!!

  • @marvscole

You know, instead of laughing, you should do some homework before commenting. This is not Zouk, but it certainly is not salsa. This is Zouk Lambada, which is actually a more complex and slow version of the lambada. The uploader is just poor in discriminating between the two. But seriously, if you call this salsa, you certainly come from an island far, very far and far away from civillisation.

  • What is the name of the songs that they dance in this video

  • @sweetangel21xx i don't know exactly, but i think it is thelephone mwen or something like that, but the singer is phil control

  • whats the name of the song? is it shakira? very beautiful dance anyway ;)

This Video is absolutely not how we dance Zouk !

This music comes from the carribbean YES but it is not at all how we dance it.

Zouk music is about Love/Peace … the BRAZILIAN dance does NOT go AT ALL along with the music's message and SPIRIT.

  • @davidraleche

I do not agree with the last part of your comment. The spirit of Zouk-Lambada is more complex and elaborate than the way they dance Zouk in the Carribean. I do NOT see how the "easy" Carribean zouk DOES go allong with the spirit of Zouk and Zouk-Lambada cannot. If you don't see love & peace in Zouk-Lambada, you might need to change your glasses.

  • Bottom Line...It is beatuful dancing and beautiful music. Let's appreciate fusion done in good taste.

  • very nice musica di cverde. nhos cala boca la antilianus. kel li é sabi. mto fixe

  • We are not claiming anything over anyone, and we r legitimate to apply our own influences in Zouk; as any other culture is.

    so peace, and farewell..

  • masterxd, you come with ur insults out of nowhere...

This video, IMO, is way too "choreography"; and not really what you in brazilian zouk parties / dance classes.

We dance other kinds of zouk as well. Love, Soul, Reggaeton, and ramdon remixes of famous songs with zouk beats/details. You seem to be quite uninformed... cuz here there is a general thought that zouk is one thing, and Lambada is another (this song, btw, has too much of Lambada in it); and not the other way around as you said.

  • look at her spin!!!!

  • is not salsa, is new lambada and they normaly use zouk songs from cape verde, so please dont say stupid things.

y dance that for 3 years.

  • it's not a zouk

    it's a salsa

it's a insult of the music in carribean

    It's very bad

  • who sais zouk is from the caribbean?

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT !!

  • i dont know why you confuse between salsa and zouk

that kind of dance is salsa and not zouk

    beware!!!

  • yey berg and solange r wkddd where was dat held ?

  • Hello Raybossa, the singer's name is PHIL CONTROL and he's coming from West Indies (guadeloupe). the title of this song is "téléfoné mwen" that means "call me" (on the phone).

  • so anybody knows the name of the song in the background?

  • I've posted the answer.

  • Thank you Knel :)

  • ok COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL US THE TITLE OF THIS SONG. I wasted my time reading master "know it all" comments. dancing is a form of art and pple can create art in anyway they like. it's called expression. if the brazilians like dancing it this way thats ok I love it! I grew up with a lot of haitians and guess what I love the way they dance it too! Just appreciate that the music is known WORLD WIDE b/c of this dance. pple know what this music sounds like and love it no matter what.

  • oh i LOVE the song on the background to which they're dancing to. Could someone Pleaseeeee tell me who sings it and what its called?

  • by the way: the dancers dont call that zouk but "lambada-(zouk)". it is still lambada

  • I absolutely LOOOOVE the song on the background, could anybody tell me the title? Thanx, viva el ZOUK!!!

  • master thats your opinion. and ours or mine is that this an amazing dance

  • Zouk is danced and taught in a structured ballroom style in central Africa, then it is taught another way in southern Africa. They look nothing like French Caribbean Zouk. Do you have a problem with that as well? Classical dance companies also use ethnic music for inspiration. My point is that dance has no limitations when it comes to musical interpretation.

  • Masterxd,

Nobody is trying to insult you. :-) We are simply trying to make the most of the music through the beauty of dance. Zouk preceded Lambada anyway - even in Brazil. It arrived there over 20 years ago. I'll tell you something else you probably don't know - I've been researching the African Diaspora for a while now and I have also interviewed Jocelyn Guilbault, author of the book "Zouk - World Music in the West Indies". (continued below)

  • espectaculo !! ;)

  • I know that their is much love for the Zouk music genre in Brasil. It is not appreciated Zoukeira for people like you to insult the originators.

For the same effort you afficionados can continue Lambada music and let Caribbean/French/Cape Verdean zouk music over to those who it was intended for.

  • It is so that the French Antillean community is relatively small in comparison to the better known Brazillian genres.

Yet you SHOULD NOT INSULT Caribbean/African people. It is after all OUR music and we dance it the way it is meant to be.

What the lastest movement of Brasa-Zouk , Lambadazouk basically is, is SECOND HAND.

  • *Seemingly there may be an error in posting comments*: I would encourage/invite people to go to the Caribbean (where Zouk & Konpa originated) & France (where many legendary Zouk bands create their smash hits)to observe how people dance the music in it's intended form, from clubs to simple birthday parties. Oh and not forgetting the Cape Verde islands. The dance is much slower paced and/or followed by the rythms of that particular song played, not a total choreography.

  • But here in Brazil it's much more beautiful than this... I already saw an African dancing zouk. It's incomparably worst than the latin people dancing...

  • Hmm. THE POINT IS. How would it sit with pillars of the salsa community if danceschools/companies would to teach RIVERDANCE steps to songs of Celia Cruz!

    Answer me this??

  • oh i LOVE the song on the background that they're dancing to. could someone pleaseeeeeee tell me who sings it and what its called?

  • I would encourage/invite people to go to the Caribbean,France or even the Cape Verde islands and observe how it is danced in the inteded form. Slow paces or according to the rythem of the music itself.

  • I find it very SAD that peopel are trying to keep Lambada alive by using Carribean/African Zouk! What you see here is not what Zouk is about!

  • And what zouk is about?

    regards from zürich

  • Very Good! Muito Bom! ^^

  • Amazing !!!

  • I was at this show, three years ago at the first lambada/zouk congress in Barcelona. If you look good, you will see that the dress Solange is wearing, is made of coins. And during the dance, many coins fell off...

Gostei!!! Muito legal:)

  • lindoooooo
