To be honest, I find that the regular Pauldrons look more like Sephiroth's, due to the division made. There are two parts to Sephiroth's pauldrons, and the item simply called Pauldrons looks like it.
@UndecidedRPGplayer, I'm too lazy to go looking it up and compare but sometimes it's not always about accuracy but going with a suitable aesthetic, and I was pleased with my result for Sephiroth.
