Back to DWTS, Buzz sucked and doesn't serve as a proper example. Ty Murray on the other hand does; in his foxtrot, the way he picked Chelsie up and led her back into the dance after she fell proves that the men do just as much as the women.

@mgblue That's just the thing: sadly, a lot of people treat it like a popularity contest. It might be about performance and technique for the judges, but to stay on the show you need a fan base. Rick obviously doesn't have much of a fan base because he retired from the NBA 5 years ago, and the fact being that the other stars are still socially relevant is why he was axed. He was a good dancer, no matter what you think, but he needed more votes.

@mgblue I will agree that the BAD athletes go too far, but I can't say that the people that were eliminated this season instead of him weren't on their way out. What annoys me is that you only address the men, but you say nothing about the women. What about Bristol? She's sucked since Week 1 and she's STILL on the show. What about Kelly Monaco, Sara Evans, Marie Osmond, Marissa Winouker, Cloris Leachman, and Kate Gosselin? They all had stayed when people better them were eliminated.

@loridorii So are a lot of the stars on "Dancing with the Stars". In fact, the only dancer that has regularly been on "Dancing with the Stars" that specializes in Smooth is Jonathan Roberts; however, many of the stars have delivered dances that look different from previos seasons. Derek hasn't.

@CorbinLuvs I just watched all his Viennese waltzes AGAIN, and once AGAIN it's MY OPINION that they're amazing to watch, but they're all very similar. You obviously think differently, and I respect that, but I've been dancing for quite a long time (by the way I have never said that to prove a point); therefore, I'm sticking with my opinion. I'm not saying that Derek's a bad choreographer or a bad dancer; in fact if I'm as good a dancer as he is in the near future, my life will be complete.

@AkihiroHattori52455 At this point in time (season 6), this was only Derek's second viennese waltz. I think he dances beautifully, but I do have to agree some of his dances have similar steps. I don't think it detracts from the beauty of the dance, but I do like to see fresh choreography if possible. That being said, Derek is my favorite to watch dancing because he is so graceful and effortless when he dances.
