Just come back from the Brandon Flowers gig in Birmingham at the o2 Academy. He sang this whilst I was at the bar. I left my drink and joined the crowd whilst he sang thing. His voice is truly amazing! The chicks were going nuts! Great gig and a fabulous song. Luckily I'm going to Las Vegas in March and this is going to be on my iPod.
not to offend any fans, because i am a HUUUGE killers fan, but it's funny to read brandon's lyrics (so beautiful and profound) and then listen to an interview of his. his personality is nothing like what i expected. his intelligence does not show, he is shy and awkward
They should play this on an airplane when you land in Las Vegas. You know?--Like when you're sitting down as the people in front of you get their bags in the overhead compartment. It'll all be, "WELCOME TO FABULOUS....las VAAAYYYYY GUSSSS".
Can't you feel the nostalgia in this song? There's definitely a country feel to this, but it's nothing like country. It's more about "home". I get the same feeling when I listen to When You Were Young and Dustland Fairytale, too. I love it. <3
@aarondavid826 They definitely need to make another album like Sam's Town. I absolutely loved every song they made on that. (Hot Fuss was okay, not my cup of tea I suppose).
Saddens me of the taste of people's music. I like most music classical kanye dre taylor swift katy perry lady gaga.....
but no one will open their eyes to the most beautiful singers like brandon flowers. "It's not up beat... I hate it... it's stupid"..........anyone else notice people who don't like brandon flowers or the killers or that genre don't like poetry either?
Epic song that exhibits the affection in which Brandon Flowers holds his hometown of Las Vegas. Love the lyrics, changes of pace, military like drumming and emotive guitar riff that rounds out the song. Fantastic and anthemic.
this is a superb song... full of emotion and great music.... it gives me chills down to my spine... this defines Brandon Flowers.... not many music nowadays can defines a person... and this is not just a music.... a great song does not necessarily a chart toppers.... a solo a the end just give this raw intense emotions to end this song... superb... absolutely superb...
definitely the Sam's Town of Flamingo... :) very grandiose and a great way to open the album!!! Brandon takes us to a new world, let's us dive into his a aesthetic and to great heights!! I love this song and this whole album!
Brandon said this is Dave's best ever guitar solo [Dave plays on this song], I don't think this is his best, I think that the guitar solo at the end of Losing Touch is one of the best I've ever heard.
I've seen some bad reviews of this song, and i have no idea why. This is spectacular, just what I would expect from the incredible Brandon Flowers! Thank you so much for posting this... Great start to an album!!!
Amazing <3 Loved Brandon since hot fuss, and he's just gotten better with time. :D
Amazing album all around. Best by far.
