  • it needs a long pipe out the back so u can see

  • That's not steam that's the guy who fart

  • Might I suggest propane for a heat source.

  • i hope this was a college project of some sort, otherwise your one clever lazy ass motherfucker...

  • hahaha this is the greatest bike I've ever seen.

  • I hope to make one too out of an empty propane tank, some copper pluming and bike wheels, the thing will look more like a locomotive on the road

  • How obnoxious to hear this going down the street :D

  • If the Fire don't roast your nuts, the Steam will cook your rump!

  • Sa doit bruler les couilles LOL!!! Moi je m'en monte un au propane légèrement plus petit

  • it would be better if you didnt have to use the fire,,, maybe solar powered perhaps? also, needs alot of modifications but the fact that you actually got it to work is the awesome part! it means there is still hope. you gotta start somewhere

  • that is so awesome...bit of a chick magnet for sure.lol

  • I really like the concept of this project, but I feel as though it would be real easy to burn your legs pretty bad on the fire.

  • lol!!!! love it!! great work!

  • haters gonna hate

  • @Cenotaff no kidding

  • made in russia

  • lol

  • That's just awesome, I want to convert all my stuff to steam powered

  • dude all i can say is -facepalm- lmao =3-

  • Cool build, one thing though, does it go any faster than a regular bike?

  • @jbrun009 Who cares! Its a god damn steam driven BIKE!

  • cool!

  • Marko likes this.

  • a train bike. nice.

  • OMG! I thought strapping a rocket to a bicycle, was dangerous.

  • Er, is that boiler certified and tested? Because when it blows up, (as many have also commented) it will take your testicles with it.

  • wow so good

  • jajjajajajaja, la wea inutil

  • Safety last?

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My bike :)

  • bare svensker...

  • no pedal, or foot rest places

  • IN the apocolypse you will look awesome and have transport

  • Galna svenskar. Några brännmärken än då? :)

  • ye olde bicycle is sure to get him laid but be careful of ye olde plague

  • I'm pretty sure he won't be burnt.

  • to je dobrý :D

  • That's called Hardcore steampunk :-D

  • Is it me or does the bike seem to go allways downhill? :-D

  • congrats you invinted a train, lol jk, its pretty awesome

  • I would use one.

  • Cool!!!

What the sound at 0:27-0:28 ? It works on gas:)?

  • @Shoodmi he said "this is the throttle"

  • cool

  • Want! Want! Want! I wonder if I could get hours toward my engineers license with one of these...

  • uma panela de preção OIUSAUOISAOI

  • perfect for home delivery of roasted nuts!

  • Rednecks finally advancing in moving forward in the industry.

  • Good way to set your 'nads on fire.

  • My new superhero..

  • economy :)

  • That bike is a "must get" by every steampunk freak.

  • that so funny

  • My testicles hurt just watching this...

  • I don't want to put two comments so I'll say them both:

you won't get into the Tour de France with this thing

you'll burn your ass with that fire underneath

  • @iSpeed09 darn you! you already put the comment that it would burn your backside

  • This video reminds me of a popular Christmas song: "Chest/Nuts roasting on an open fire...." haha

  • Epic! Comment! By me!

  • Chariot of Fire.

  • smokin' fast!

  • Dobre :) Wyszło by taniej niż paliwo w Polsce :)

  • would be better if you could put yr feet on the pedals...

  • For lazy steam-punks...

  • steam boy……

  • excellent!

  • this looks really good for the environment :)

  • Was that the sound of a smoke alarm at 1:21 ?

  • Jaa Svenska xD

  • How's it good for the environment, instead of using pedal power you burn wood to make it go.

  • @GulMiko Vs. Driving a car that uses non-renewable resources.

  • @sp00nix Actually, I saw a documentary recently, that indicates people who ride bikes vs taking cars actually have a larger carbon footprint, because they are in better shape for the short term, will likely live longer to use even more resources. So you don't drive between the ages of 70-100, you still need to consume.

  • and make me some coffee please ;)

  • watch your balls dude

  • bike of the future

  • @MemberHD has a point - unfortunately irrelevant to this thread.

    Gasoline alone is /relatively/ stable.

The gsa/petrol used in internal compustion engines is a fuel:air mixture... which is MUCH more explosive than gas alone.

Look up the word stoichiometric - it will help you win this one next time around.

  • I wonder what language they're speaking? Win :D

  • @starspangledpants Swedish! :)

  • @sk7ca Haha oh maaan! Double win!

  • @starspangledpants Hahah! :D

  • hahaha awesome

  • very cool!

  • the strokes can hurt your kidneys ...and the fire burn ur legs..but that's a good invention idea.

  • it even sounds like a steam train. this is pure win

  • There should've been a whistle. WOOOWOOO!

  • damn thatss like putting salt on a cucumber

(wich might i say, tastes FUCKING AMAZING)

  • hahaha. någon har för mycket fritid!

  • That bike is perfect for the Cold climate! When it snows you'll be warm and have a ride! (for those not rich enough for a car! And to classy for the Bus :p, plus busses get stuck and are hard to move) this you could just pick up or use the heat to meat the snow. :D

  • it needs a place to put your feet

  • And thus the motorcycle was born.

  • this was the sh..t at 1889 world fair.. :D

  • Steampunk here.. That looks really kind of dangerous.. Good job!

  • You got to be a complete idiot to put that thing between your legs.

  • The world is full of those useless but cool gadgets. This takes the high spot of all them though.

  • this is about as useless as that thing Mr. Bean tried to get away on. His Mrs only asked him to nip to the shops to get some bread. When he got back she was dead.

  • umm sitting with a boiler only cm from my nuts....pass

  • @memberHD It's only scary til you realize cars run on exploding gasoline.

  • @DJZephyr No they don't. Gasoline doesn't explode. It actually burns really slow.

A boiler in a steam engine like this one probably runs at about 100psi. That is a bomb. If there is a failure (a rapid decrease in pressure) all that super heated, high pressure water will want to turn to steam instantly increasing its volume many times in a very short space of time, destroying or badly burning anything in its way (your nuts....not mine)

  • @memberHD That's not a general rule. Some mixtures of gasoline and air will readily detonate; that's what is happening when an engine is 'knocking'.

'antiknock' agents are added to gasoline fuel to reduce the conditions under which gasoline air mixtures can detonate; this used to be tetraethyllead, now its mostly MTBE or ethanol(or ETBE).

  • @soylentgreenb Again you are wrong. Knocking is a laymans term for pre-ignition. Pre-ignition occurs when the internal parts of the engine have a higher temperature then the the ignition temperature of the fuel. As the fuel is injected it ignites, but the piston is not at the correct position in the rotation (usually a few 10's of degrees before TDC) This causes the piston sleeve to slap the cylinder bore. Anti knock additives increase the temperature in which the fuel ignites. Go google this

  • @memberHD Pre-ignition does not produce an audible knock or ping, but pre-ignition and detonation are often associated problems. Propagation speeds during a knocking stroke where first recorded with a high speed camera as early as 1946. What they found was flame propagation speeds ranging from 3250 to 5500 feet per second; that's a detonation-wave.

Fuel-air explosives even purposely set up a fuel-air mixture through which a detonation wave can propagate and set it off with a small amount of HE.

  • @memberHD When an engine is detonating the flame front propagates normally in part of the cylinder, but the deflagration heats and compresses the gas at the other end to sufficient temperature and pressure to detonate; producing a very sharp pressure rise and an audible ping.

Pre-ignition is far more insidious. Unless there is an associated detonation there is no sharp pressure rise and no audible knock, but it damages the engine.

Higher octane fuels reduce both detonation and pre-ignition.

  • @memberHD Common-rail diesel engines run PSIs from 15-25k. Even regular gas engines have pressures of 150-200psi. Not to mention fuel tanks full of flammables, batteries full of acid, other chemicals, etc.

If you build it right, you can minimize the risk with either system- steam engines were/have been used in trains, ships, and other applications for centuries.

Still, with that said, sh!t happens- either system (steam or gas) could easily cook you under the right (or wrong) circumstances.

  • @DJZephyr Diesel is a liquid, your point is invalid. Petrol is pretty safe, 10% sulfuric acid (battery fluid) is also pretty safe.

Steam engines have been used for ages, killed many people too, including the inventor

Super-heated water under pressure will instantly turn to steam when the pressure is lowered (that how steam engines wok). If the boiler fails ALL the water becomes steam instantly...and probably your nuts too on this bike. the raw PSI is not the real danger, but the relative PSI is

  • not as cool as a train

  • Later you smoke like shit :)

  • you can walk faster than that. kinda defeats the purpose of having a bike

  • laziness at its best ...

  • time for "they see me ridin', they hatin'.." haha

  • what is the name of the song please ?

  • pretty useful to run away from ur enemies!1!!

    (?)

  • i feel sorry for the epileptic cameraman :(

  • glup je ko kurac

  • Note to camera man; use chicken steady cam while filming :D

  • the first motorbike ;-) ^^

  • What strange alchemy is this! Using physistry in harnessing the power of steam to provide locomotion. Amazing!

  • @piemagon I don't mean to troll, but physistry isn't a word...

  • @fargon123 haha yeah I know, its the combination of physics + chemistry = physistry or chemics but I think physistry sounds better :)

  • @piemagon haha very nice

  • @piemagon Mother fucking gentlemen response bro!!!

  • hope it won burn ur leg. pretty impressive!

  • steam in your ass

  • For christ sake don't have a boiler explosion on that thing.

  • EPA estimated 25 miles per sofa.

  • Who needs electric heated seats with this thing around? Awesome.

  • Oh I could see myself pulling up on that at work. Love to come in smelling of fresh hardwood. :P

  • Awesome! Big like for the mad professer.

  • Is that my grandmother walking faster then that? I think so....

  • It's good for the environment!

  • @MillionaireWannabe no it isn't, but it's still epic :D

  • @MillionaireWannabe

    Of course!

    It makes steam! :)

  • 0:27 i farted thru yer speakers 0.o!

  • WANT

  • You can burn your balls with this thing... but still this is worth it.

  • You can burn your balls of with this thing...

  • id so burn the shit out of my dick on this thing

  • Back to future?

  • @EDKTidus

    back to the stone age

  • ...a..steam..bike..?
