@eohangeorge So PWM........from the way the company recommended the controllers to use with it on their website, I thought it was some non standard signal so you would have to use their controller.
@eohangeorge Thanks for the info! I'm a senior in EE and our group project is a camless engine design so we have to have precise actuator control. We are probably going to use an Ardiuno board so they 0-5V control input is great for us. We were going to use electrical actuators but we couldn't find any fast enough. For 3600 RPMS we needed a response time of 5ms, so we decided to switch to pneumatics. I can't believe the lack of information online on postion control for pneumatics.

What kind of signal does the servo valve use?

we used a fuzzy pid for controlling .. the voltages are a -12 to +12 voltage input with 0-5V control input
