haha i saw this once and i got it, u see he puts a finger at the end side of the cars, when he shakes it and it turns all face down, his finger is not there anymore, meaning hes just pushing a card from behind that covers the face cards. I think.

The trick is good, but it definitely isn't brain science on how he did it. It might have something to do with that extra hand coming in and grabbing the cards periodically.
