  • so this helicopter can lift wireless camera 20 grams and 9v battery 30 grams for camera

    totaly 50 grams?

  • @TheDonis88 Yes, it should lift 50 grams.

  • Aren't you slashing your flight time by adding all this weight? SERIOUSLY - do you think adding 18 grams to your flight weight doesn't hurt your flying time? You'd be SO much better off with a slightly heavier, higher output battery!

  • @seq165432 You're right, any time you add weight the flight time is decreased. Adding 14 grams to the canopy is a 3% increase in weight, this would reduce an 8 min flight time by about 17 seconds. Please note that I recommend using a higher output battery and moving it forward.

  • @hammydude12345 The canopy on my S107 weighs 2.5 grams, so I took it off. I removed the tail fin too. A section of soda straw holds the LED as far as the wire will go, so it has what looks a bit like a refueling probe - holding the LED and a little piece of metal it's attached to as far forward as possible cancels out the unbalance of no canopy. It looks weird but flies a bit longer. Hopefully, replacing 240 mh battery will extend it even more.

  • @seq165432 Sounds good!

  • How did you get this helicopter from not flying in that drifting circular motion that these heli's tend to have? It"s really annoying. Doe's it have to do with the swash plate, or is it a unbalanced weight issue? I can't get mine to fly straight. It does nothing but circles. What do you suggest?

  • @hellonblades For some reason Double Horse doesn't make helis that travel with any speed. Out of the box my 9104 wouldn't fly forward at all. Try adding some weight to the canopy, and adjust the swash plate so it tilts forward. Then if you want more speed lengthen the servo arm. Good luck.

  • is the tail rotor suposed to slow down when turrning one direction and faster in the other

  • @KevinMillard68 Yes, that is how it works.

  • @hammydude12345 thanks for the info im a bit new to the rc helicopter stuff expecialy fixed pitch 2 bladed ones

  • @KevinMillard68 You're welcome, good luck.

  • @hammydude12345 thanks

  • will it handle a 7.6 v 2200 ? is it to heavy?

  • @MrAndrei316 Yes, I think it would. I don't have a 7.4v 2200 but I use a 2000 on my 9104.

  • Does the modelling clay that you put in the nose for more forward speed not make it nose dive?

  • @ebuys9 No, it flies level, just faster.

  • just got one for christmas my sister got it for me

  • what battery upgrade would you recommend for the 9104? I'm getting ready to purchase one and would like to have a better battery for it.

  • @red281gt I use a 7.4v 1650mAh lipo battery

  • @hammydude12345 How long can you fly with this battery?

  • @lipton554 About 8 to 9 minutes with a new battery.

  • My helicopter has a hard time moving forward or backwards can you help me got any hints?

  • @518735 Yes, the mods are explained in a video, click on the link to see it.

  • I do the same thing for the left skid but with my double horse 9100, it get more stability !!!

  • @GringoMuchachos I agree, the 9100 is more stable than the 9104.

  • I trimmed off about 1cm from each end of the tail blades and now my 9104 will basically hover straight up into the air with very little movment and is a massive improvement! gg

  • @FenderBender2 Wow, that is surprising!

  • dd

  • mine is just always slides to the left and I can't control it..it sucks..can you tell me how I can fly this helicopter..?!!

  • Hi may I know how you keep the propellor tightness loose as it comes in the box or do you tighten the screws somewhat, if yes how much? Thanks. I have been flying mine for the last week but as we are in the winter season it has always been a little gusty, so it has always been a fight to keep it where I want. Is it alright to fight a 25C 1200MaH battery?

  • @epad1947 Hello, you can keep the blades (propeller) loose. A 7.4v 1200mAh battery is great.

  • @hammydude12345 Thanks mate

  • @hammydude12345 You were so right about the battery, since I started using the lipo above, it is like magic, the heli really flies, and it keeps the power for at least 10 mins. Thanks for your suggestions.

  • @epad1947 You are welcome, glad it helped.

  • @hammydude12345 My 9104 has such a short range of control, after about 15 feet if not less the motor dies in mind air and practically crashes to the ground, it is a good thing the heli is tough, as otherwise it would break to bits. I have put in new batteries in the transmitter. The wire seems to be soldered well to the main board. What else do you suggest? Thanks

  • @hammydude12345 This morning I let the aerial wire loose just tied to the end and not stuck around the pole, what I also did was tighten the big plug with the red and black wires, still is not right in like the next near it. Should this plug be right in, same as the one next to it? But one or both of these actions worked miracles. I have just come back from flying the 9104 and even the "bad" li-ion battery worked fine. I am trying to send you a pic of the circuit board.

  • @epad1947 Glad these changes worked miracles. The li-ion battery supplied with the 9104 works great... but it will wear out very quickly.

  • @hammydude12345 Hi, I wonder if you could help me. I have a Colco Lama V Coaxial, it sort of wobbles a little when in flight. I still manage to fly it but would like to stop the wobble. I tried tightening and loosening the props but nothing changes. When I use the rudder or the forward knobs then it stops wobbling, it hovers ok at times, if it is not wobbling. Thanks

  • @epad1947 I'm not sure. Perhaps one of the blades has been damaged.

  • What type of connector do we have on the DH 9104, I mean the one that goes into the side of the Heli? Thanks (better still can you direct me to a site which has a good lipo for my 9104, cos it flies only for 3 mins on the one they supplied in the box)

  • @epad1947 I don't know the name of the connector the DH 9104 comes with. I replaced it with a Dean connector. I would recommend a 7.4v 2000 mAh battery, you can find these on ebay for about $15 including shipping.

  • @hammydude12345 For your info the 9104 connector is JST type, just found out now. Was it difficult changing the connector seeing that it sort of fixed to the chassis, Did your 9104 come with a diode at the bottom, sort like a search light. Does this not waste the battery? I found a 120o MaH on ebay. Thanks for you help.

  • many thanks mate and regards from Malta

  • @epad1947 You are welcome. Wish I had your weather.

  • @epad1947 Yes, we do have lovely weather over here. It is the size that is a little too small, although it has its advantages, it never takes us more than 15 mins to go to work, which ever part of the island you happen to live in. This helps, cos you do not waste your life behind a steering wheel.

I am new to this could you explain what clevis is and where to find it in the Heli 9104? How do you change the position of the swashplate? Hope I have not asked to many daft questions.

  • @epad1947 I made a video "Double horse 9100 RC helicopter review and modifications" about 70 seconds into this video I explain how to adjust the swashplate.

  • WHEN YOU CHANGE THE BATTERY TO LIPO CAN YOU STILL USE THE SAME CHARGER THAT COMES WITH THE DH 9104?

  • @epad1947 yes, you can.

  • I'm curious to know if there is a 4 channel bird this size for say around a 100 bucks? I look at some but most are small like the 5889.

  • @TheBeatSmith Sorry, don't know of a 4ch heli this size for $100.

  • Changing da battery makes a big damn difference way beta performance

  • hi i got the 9104, and after about 5 flights, it will no longer lift higher than about a foot off the ground..

do you think the battery is the problem?

i ordered a 7.4v 2200 mah replacemnt and also the flybar is a little bent..idk whats keeping it down

  • @ENJAYALLDAY57 Yes, I think you should get a new lipo battery.

  • Hi

Whats the best aftermarket battery for the 9104? The origional one wears down kinda quick.

  • @tristanbreen I would recommend a lipo battery 7.4v from 1,000 to 1,600 mAh. Any decent lipo battery will be much better than the one supplied with the heli.

  • IT IS A BRUSHED MOTOR, EBAY ITEM NUMBER- 220838017799. IT WORKS FINE SO FAR, ALOT MORE POWER

  • Comment removed

  • I PUT AN XTREME 180 PRO MOTOR IN MY 9100 WAS THAT A GOOD MOVE ??

  • @jawsohio Does it work? The 180 Pro is a brushless motor and the 9100 heli is designed for brushed motors. If you got it to work please let me know how you did it.

  • @hammydude12345 im getting one so is the unmooded one also good for a beginner to outdoor

  • @callofdutyfreak39 Yes, but it probably won't fly very fast.

  • @hammydude12345 actually got the 9100 will i need to do any of the ods or is is good enogh

  • @callofdutyfreak39 I don't have a 9100 so I'm not sure if you need any mods.

  • Can i put or should i put a heavy duty servo on 9104 it ???

  • @jawsohio No, I think the servo that came is okay.

  • @hammydude12345 is this a good battery for it RC 7.4v 2S1P 20C 1300mAh Lithium Polymer Lipo Battery

  • @callofdutyfreak39 Yes, I think that would be a good choice.

  • @hammydude12345 ok thanks soz i copied and pasted it plus do you know a heli that ould be easier thanthis for only 30more$ but plz not the 9053

  • THANKS I DID EXACTLY THAT, BOY DOES THAT HELI MOVE. I ALSO HAVE A SKY KING 8501. ANY MODS??

  • @jawsohio Great! Glad to hear that mods made your 9104 fly fast. Sorry, I don't have a King 8501.

  • I JUST GOT ONE 2 DAY AGO. I HAVE A VOLITAION, A 9050 A 9100 AND A 9104.HOW LONG DO U EXTEND THE SERVO ARM?

  • @jawsohio I made it twice as long.
