@cooldude15k sentinel is very fun, if you take a shotgun and assault armor you are constantly in the front line unleashing hot explosive rounds (tugsten) in the face. your shields go down .. BOOOOM and then you recharge. seriosuly you are almost indestructible. i had similar fun with vanguard. overall the most fun is BY FAR Vanguard.

@AdoreYouInAshXI Well it would be okay to try, maybe not so much competitive multiplayer but maybe like Co-Op missions (Like one response to my comment) would be kinda fun doing missions together with your friends, but since ME1 and ME2 are both more singleplayer games I guess what would be more likely to happen is EA releasing a separate disk with only online content so it'd end up being more of an MMORPG which would probably end up costing a weekly/monthly fee like WoW or DC Online Universe..

The only real weakness of the engineer is taking on biotic barriers, and some pesky collectors *cough*Praetorian*cough* have recharging barriers, so bring a party member that is biotic or get advanced training in warp ammo, etc. Engineers pretty much own shields and armor so you can handle everything after that.

On insanity engineers are a masterpiece. Only the infiltrator with cloak beat them. But engineer gameplay is more fun than infiltrator, because cloak>sniper shot like soldier Adr.Rush and pull the trigger and u repeat this whole game. With engineer you have a CC, drone to remove enemy aggro on you,good damage abilities and u can outnumber the enemy. If u have dominate as bonus power you are a god.

I play Mass Effect 2 as an Engineer. Its actually really cool, your drone is a meatshield, so you dont need infiltrator stealth, you are able to freeze shit solid, so you dont need cryo rounds, and when a big ass mech is charging at you, you can just turn it right back around. I think they are pretty awesome!

Why is the Engineer the only class in the game that does not have a skill Unique to them? Tali AND Legion get the drone, Mordin can use cryo blast, Legion and Tali again can use AI hacking, Mordin has Incinerate, and Garrus and Miranda have Overload. Add to that in the beginning Engineers can only use Heavy Pistols and Sub Machine guns well.... I think this is the worst class.

Well I mean Tali is an engineer......... Think about it other classes arent that great too Geth can use Cloak, Soldier gets three ammo types that everyone can use and concussive blast which everyone uses. The Adepts only have singularity.

infiltrator. pimp out the cryo round all the way. theres a sniper rifle later (the viper) that has a high rate of fire with 12 rounds per mag. just whip it out with cryo ammo and freeze everyone in the area, which only takes one bullet to do. then get the shotgun later in the game. its great for shattering the frozen and helpless opponants and letting you use cloak to get up right in their faces with it. mix up your style so your unstoppable at any range

You have to be a master at it and it doesnt work against electronic barrriers or armor (which are what AIs are FUCKNIG MADE OUT OF!!!)

I find engineers sorta weak, but thats my opinion :P

@TheMarko93 nah, they still have incinerate (to remove armor), overload (to remove shields) and cryo blast wich is awesome when their defenses is down, plus the combat drone helps out alot, so i think that the engineer is good, not the best but good against organics aswell :P plus if you have dominate as your special ability you are quiet overpowered :D

I really can't decide good team members however. Miranda is pretty good at combat and biotic skills and can give either team health or weapon damage, or thane and grunt together can give powerful biotic and combat skills that make the game fairly easy.

My Mass Effect character is a Vanguard so I guess I'll be a Vanguard in ME2. =) I like the Vanguard class. Shotguns kick ass + I love the biotics.

You might want to reconsider, though. Vanguards work a little different in ME2: they're very, very focused on point-blank range. I was going to go with a Vanguard, too, but I decided against it when I saw myself charging into enemies and getting my ass whooped since I'm now right in their faces.

If you already started ME2 as a Vanguard, then yeah, you'll have to start from scratch, at which point you mind as well just keep playing.

If you haven't started ME2 yet, though, you'll be given a chance to change your character class and the appearance of Shepard at the beginning of the game, even if you imported a save file, without any penalties.

Do you really think that Vanguard is absolutely shit in ME2? What would be the best class, then? I don't wanna be a soldier, it's too dull, and not an adept, 'cause they can't really use other guns that pistols.

They let you change your class in ME2 because of all the heavy modifications they made to each one.

The Vanguard is not absolutely shit, I'd say. It's just that it's focus is on short-range combat, indicated by its unique ability Charge. Charge throws you right into the fray, allowing you to blast enemies at point blank--but also allowing them to blast you.

It's really your preference. I'm choosing Sentinel. In ME2 all classes can use heavy weapons and SMGs in addition to pistols, by the way.

@19andoverlol Cool. Yeah I checked the Vanguard trailer. Charge seemed like it would get you killed pretty easily... This engineer class does seem really good. Hmm... Maybe I'll try to look for as many class trailers as I can find, and based on them, I'll eventually make the decision.

I will play ME2 through numerous times, so I'll probably try all the classes some time, but I the first round to be perfect, you see. =)

I'm choosing the Sentinel as a nice mixture of tech, biotics, and shooting. Choosing a Soldier, you mind as well go play Gears of War, and choosing an Adept you never use your gun.

On a second playthrough I might choose Vanguard, because I'll hopefully be good enough at the game at that point to be able to handle myself with Charge.

No idea what class I'll choose for an Insane run...Haven't thought that far ahead, yet.

Recharge time for tech armor is 12 seconds.

You know you could just look all this stuff up on the Mass Effect Wiki, right? It goes into detail about all the powers and stuff. It's the only reason I know so much about the game without actually owning it. I won't be getting my copy until this coming Friday.
