just got done watching the movie...awesome effects and fight scenes. plot and storyline sucked ass. there was no kid of character development, no meaningful dialogue, and nothing that really explains why an event occurred. it seems as if the pang bros thought if they threw action sequence after action sequence that would make up for the lack of a plot. rating it a 2/5
The movie is a stand-alone, it does not follow the 1st movie, That was the PANG BROTHERS talked about on the press, AND, "The Pangs intended on giving their film a similar look and feel to that of the 2007 American film 300", so its not really a 300 film copy, they really intend to make it like 300 movie style... the story is now different from the 1st film, and this is more mature than the 1st... for me this is the best epic wind & cloud film ever made. Plus, it's Wing-Shing Ma's masterpiece!

In my opinion, the first one was better. The story and the evil actors were quite better. I like Simon Yam but to place him for the villain? I don´t know ^^ I really had expected to see a good fight from Nicolas Tse...the music was just so-so.

the movie had great special effects, but nothing else, and most of the film made no sense. i mean, what on earth was so special about the dragon bone? and what was the repercussion of the bone breaking?
The dragon bone represents the ultimate piece that is essential to the good fortune of the country. If you have a better understanding of 'Feng Shui', you'll have a better grasp of it, despite how ridiculous it sounds.

I actually think Storm Rider the first one was much better; Storywise, Action, and Director. This movie was made by a different director. This one seemed so rushed and it felt like it didn't matter who the ultimate bad guy ((Godless)) was cause in the end Ekin Chen was the ultimate bad guy. It's like they hired really expensive actors and ran out of money to make a really good movie. I recommend watching Storm Rider 1 in blu-ray if you want to see the better movie.

arguably the worse movie ever made!
the movie had great special effects, but nothing else, and most of the film made no sense. i mean, what on earth was so special about the dragon bone? and what was the repercussion of the bone breaking?

The dragon bone represents the ultimate piece that is essential to the good fortune of the country. If you have a better understanding of 'Feng Shui', you'll have a better grasp of it, despite how ridiculous it sounds.

The plot of this film was kinda weak but the cinematography was excellent. With the way it ended there will definitely be a 3rd Storm Rider film.

thing is, the second one start out of nowhere.
unless you know the comic, you will get confused.
I mean, who are those 2 girls? how did they know cloud & wind?
Second one have better fights & cgi.
but the dialogue was like 2 pages of script.
The first one had better plot development.
But the fighting was average, had too many "1 blow and your weakend" fights.
And had no real long hand to hand combat.

I actually think Storm Rider the first one was much better; Storywise, Action, and Director. This movie was made by a different director. This one seemed so rushed and it felt like it didn't matter who the ultimate bad guy ((Godless)) was cause in the end Ekin Chen was the ultimate bad guy. It's like they hired really expensive actors and ran out of money to make a really good movie. I recommend watching Storm Rider 1 in blu-ray if you want to see the better movie.

damn you who say it copied 300, just because of a minute when the bad guy went on the "black dragon head".
I just watched the movie today, without subtitle. so i dont know what did eng version changed.
THEY WERENT JAPANESE. the bad guy was a chinese general (not capital of china), who with the eunuch (suposed to be loyal to king) betrayed the king, and tried to kill all the great martial artist for their plan can go without probs.
