Export the data from pfhoe as a blender python script. Once you in blender if you navigate to the python script window and load the data you have just saved you should see the script. Click on file-run python script and after a few seconds you should have the camera data loaded in blender as an animation.
Then you can put objects in, render it against a green screen and composite it using your video editor. Hopefully your blender objects will appear locked in position.
I used the demo version with a trial save period, so I don't know how much it costs now. However, it's not very expensive. It took about 10 minutes to learn how to motion track - basically the software walks you through every step.
Hey again! I downloaded the trial and I'm having a problem. When I try to import footage from my desktop, it doesn't show any videos. Why is this happening? What type of video files can pfhoe accept?
As the title and description clearly state, I used 'match moving' software, which works out the camera movement and allows you to import it into the 3D software.
This software seems alot better than After Effects. The objects maintain perfect position and do not wobble around like in most AE videos.

How are you able to actually use the exported data in Blender? I can't get it to do anything.

OK, I went to the Python script window, and still couldn't figure out how to load the python script.
Could you walk me through it step by step?
DKWtube 3 years ago
Nevermind, I got it!
Except what you do is go to the TEXT window to load it, not the python script window, and press Alt-P.

or use syntheyes....

Great vid. I'm trying to learn to do this using the same programs but blender doesn't recognise the pfhoe data when I try to import it.
Do I need a python script or something?

How much did PFHoe cost and how long did it take for you to learn motion tracking?
