I work with kids and some just don't handle surprises as well. Doesn't mean they're spoiled or there's something wrong with them, you just learn through experience who you have to give a little "heads up" to! :) Glad they had fun!

Totally understand her reaction... some people just aren't "we're going RIGHT NOW!!" type of people, they need time to process a big announcement like that before actually going. Even at the age I am now, when someone springs a "we're going RIGHT NOW!!" thing like that on me, my reaction is much more likely to be annoyance than anything else.

@purrfectkitty22 She was definitely just in shock. We did a "family game night" and initially she was sad that the game was over. Then she just didn't expect to get on a plane 15 minutes later. She ended up having a fabulous time in Disney like all kids do.

Hahah I think that's how I would react...I hate surprises. I like to have time to process what's going to happen and I hate being thrown off-guard. She's not a brat, she's just one of the many people in the world who hate surprises. If she's like me, she'll complain for an hour or two, but once she's adjusted to what's happening, she'll be bouncing off the walls ;)
