If yo uwant low end go for bigger speaker of course...Ive got hte Mustang III for that. The real neat bennifit is the software that comes with the amp and how you ca nmanipulate the sounds from your computer etc. And of course record nt your computer with the fuse software. I had a micro cube and actually they are really really nice amps. I have the Mustang I and the Mustang III the Mustang three is a lot louder the Mustang one is more of a practice amp...Thanks....Ed
I am going to buy a Mustang as a practice amp. I love my Roland Microcube but want a bigger sound. Should I go for the Mustang II or does the Mustang I deliver enough low end to eclipse a Microcube? Why do you want the 12" version as well as the 8" version? Do you regret not getting the 12" in the first place? Thanks, good video.
do each string same way, B string should light up second light make the red green red light be green. then that string is correctly tuned. do the remaining 4 strings the same way.. GDAE.
Look closely and you wuill see the 8 lights have the string name next to them. use that for each string then red green red for fine tuning.
The thinner string on bottom is the first string. The names of the strings are 1= E 2=B 3=G 4= D 5=A=6=E
There are 8 lights on the mustang in a row from bottom to top they are A B C D E F G # There are 3 lights next to each other on right (Red, Green and Red)
When you tune the 1st string (E) the 5th light (Of the 8) will light up. The red green ad red light are for fine tuning make it turn green. you should see E light and green light when correct.
I just got the Mustang 1 guitar amp as a gift, I can`t seem to figure out how to use the built in tuner. I`m new to guitar and know very little! I see there are three small lights on top but how do I know what string I`m tuning? Is there anyway you could make a short video showing me how? If not could you at least message me back detailed instructions on how to tune my guitar using the built in tuner? If you could help me out with this that would be awesome! Thanx, Jamie
I have it too, it's a fantastic amp, you get effect pedals like fuzz/wah and much more in the software when connected to computer also. A no brainer to aquire.
If I wanna play "Paradise City" by Guns, is this a good amp? I´ve got an Epiphone Les Paul, and I really love the style of this amp and I love my guitar so what do u think?
Waht kind of music are you going to play ? If its Rock/Metal and you have a drummer in your band then it might not be loud enough...you know if you guys play super loud it might not be enough, but if its just you playing guitar with a midium loudness band it should be ok. Acoustics are a very delivte subject sometimes. Is ther a band or just you? if its just you it should be fine...
Its pretty loud...I just used it for a guitar recital it worked fine..it depends on how big the aditorium is....but for smaller ones it should be fine....ed
@eddie30969 By "it depends on how big the auditorium is", what do you mean?
Do you think it would be enough for a talent show at a small-ish school (~270 students) in the school gym? Last year everyone in the audience was pretty quiet during the performances.
So, how loud does the Mustang I get? Would it be loud enough for like if you were playing at a small show like a school talent show (for example) or other small shows? >_>
What up....I like the 15 g for a clean sound with a strat for my living room practicing its not to loud but still sounds clean and you get the sounds only a Strat 5 way switch can give you...try it youll like it...
great demo however i must say im rather annoyed now becaused im faced with a decision to get this amp or the peavey vypyr (mainly for its metal tones) but have heard the peaveys clean tones and sound very hi fi :s HELP !!!! but great review very informative
I hate this frickin' piece of crap. I brought it home and an hour later all of the effects somehow wiped off and it won't even project any sound. I HATE IT. I can't get the FUSE shit to work either and I'm tearing my hair out. Help?
@LostheartDarkclan that may have a lot to do with room acoustics. just try your amp in a couple different rooms and you'll probably find that the tone is wildly different.
The Mustang I Amp is only 15 watts with and 8 inch speaker, The Mustang III is 100 watts with a 12 inch speaker. The sound is there but on tme Mustang I the volume is not quite there. Thye make Mustang Iv and V... (4, 5) amps with alot more wattage/ volume. But it all depends on budget. So do the best you can....ed
@eddie30969 sure it sound louder with the 3,4 and 5 generation but not the same thing, I tried before buying and the models 1 and 2 are different inside. For clean and effects they are all good but the distortions on the mustang 1 and 2 sound definitly better.
There are so many factors sound wise its has a lot of great tones for Metal, but the venue would have to determine if 100 watts is enough. If your being Miked through a larger system/ PA then its not problem. Thnaks Ed
I sure hope ed isnt playing guitar in this video being that ed gives guitar lessons, clearly you can see that the guy in this video has no right to teach another person how to play guitar. Seriously you teach guitar? The amp was cool when i looked at in a local music shop but your review on this amp gave it no justice. Oh and every time you strumed your guitar it completly ruined the entire guitar tone and sound all together, you should adjust your volume on your guitar and turn down the tone.
cool......glad you like it..its a great amp.....when you select 65 Twin Reverb and turn it up its sounds pretty close to the actual Fender twin.....and its only got an 8 inch speaker.....really cool...ed
Good question: Firmware helps the amp talk to the computer and helps create all the cool sounds.. Manafacturer Like Fender, Line 6 and others, will make a product and that product has to work on all kinds of computer operating systems..IE Windows XP,windows 7etc. New technology sometimes requires new fixes to make things more compatible. Any thing computer based will need firmware updates...Amps are no exception. In the old days we turned it on plugged in..not anymore.. Hope that helps...Ed
Wow.... Let me know, I havent got the 40 watt one yet so maybe I'll wait....Of course a lot of my playing is through the auditoriims PA system via line 6 Pod X3 live. So I havent used amps for playingfor a while. 100watt... might be too much for the house/studio I'll check it out though thanks...
As far as which amp to buy, watch videos on both they seem to be similar in features the Fender does have computer software and interface to load a ton of sounds and patches, really its up to you..Ive never tried the vyper only looked at it on line, it seems like a great amp.
Yes it acts as the tempo time button. the slower or faster you tap it the slower and or faster the tempo of delay tremelo.. it also is how you get into the tuner by press and holding the button.....Ed
Great amp!!!Something I need to ask before buing it...can the tap button be used as the delay and tremolo tempo???I mean by pressing it faster o slower does the effect change???
After doing a little research you best bet is to go for the CP or th eDelux either one should get you the sound you need for Frucicante. Of course you will need similar amps, effects etc. He seemed to like older Strats, so the two mentioned guitars should work for you. Also use the tone knobs to damping the sound that seems to be what he liked to do on some songs. Any way keep in touch wish you well.
The Delux Player Strat is more like the CP guitar. The pickups are more of a thin classic sound. It all depends on what you like. The advantage of the Delux is that it has the push pull button that gives you a total of seven combinations (Instead of the standard 5). I have a strat with dimarzio 57/62/pickups and like I said it seemed similar to the Delux. Pickup Height adjustment makes a big difference in how the guitar will sound. Closer to strings its brighter further away is chicken pickin
hi my friend! these days i will buy my first stratocaster and due to money it will be a mexican one, i like to play all kind of music but with my teacher i found that the single coil sound fits my style better, now i'm deciding between these fender guitars: classic player 50 (57/62pickups), deluxe roadhouse (texas special pickups), and the deluxe player(which has vintage noiseless), the cp plays good and has a rich sound, the roadhouse is very cutting with t.special, how about this one?
@ivncdo0809 I hope my comment helped I ran our of space to write. It will all come down to what you like
a warmer blues sound and or the brighter chicken picken sound, Of course if its a FAT Strat then you got the best of both worlds...Dont let the Mexican Strat fool you, Ive tested both together American and Mexican, and in some cases the Mexican held its won and sounded pretty darn good!
