Sometimes even crap movies can be not too bad--they're creative at least--but these guys make the movies many times better. :3 I love MST3K--a lot of my younger memories of TV are of these guys making fun of stuff.
Epilogue: Camera 3's operator was buried in a pauper's grave. And by pauper's grave I mean they threw his corpse into one of the train's boxcars, which traveled over 1,300 miles before falling out while the train was traveling over a bridge and fell into the river. The Camera 3 now resides in 7 pieces in a landfill in Portland, Oregon.
Has anyone notice how obsessed with raptors Sci Fi seems to be? It seems like there's been 10 "raptor" movies on Sci Fi. Raptor, Raptor Island, Return to Raptor Island, Planet Raptor, etc. lol
What's worse is they insist on portraying raptors wrong. Raptors do not kill with a bit to the neck like a lion. They rip apart their prey with the claws on their feet. Apparently the Sci-fi exects hate Jack Horner and Stan Winston as much as they do MST3K. And speaking of the late Stan Winston, I find it insulting that Sci-Fi are the only people using the sound effects Stan Winston made famous with Jurassic Park. Specifically the dinosaur roars. The poor man's rolling in his grave no doubt.
Not only that, Sci-Fi refuses to polish their CGI monsters so they look more realistic. Even without feathers, a Velociraptor is more threatening in Jurassic Park than in any of Sci-Fi's movies. Is it really so bad to invest just a little extra money to have proper special effects? And in the case of movies based on prehistoric animals, they should at least do research or hire a specialist to help.
And finally, for god's sake they should stop having every woman get killed in every movie they make. It implies the director had issues with women. Especially in the case of Super Gator, which was directed by notorious MST3K regular, Roger Corman!
Yeah I do that too I use the Sci Fi channels infinite amount of BS movies (I'm not as good as the MST3K crew but I do it cause I can and it makes the movies a little bit more bearable)
Sci Fi Channel sure does have a big heaping pile of movies. Anyone remember Frankenfish? Boa? Python? Boa vs. Python? Or anything starring Lou Diamond Phillips?
Never watched them but I've seen the titles on Sci Fi before I watched the movie Maneater it was a movie about a tiger hunting people in the woods I was actually pleased to see that they used an actual tiger as opposed to the bad CGI they usually use (this was the only good thing about it) still a crappy riffworthy film that featured Gary Busey as the star

thats like my dad, except he'll watch MST but i dont think he notices the three of them at the bottom..... he just goes "ooo joe don baker" and doesnt blink throughout the whole movie..... he doesnt realize we think the whole movie's a joke haha. (this is about Mitchell by the way)

Well, I'd have to say Gary Busey is one redeeming point (it's hard to dislike Mr. Busey).
But consider yourself lucky that you don't live with people who practically eat those movies.
Everytime there's a 'monster marathon' of bad CG b-grade movies on Sci-Fi my mom is there.
