And, about the archeologist team: the japanese was killed by the sheriff, Sarah was found in state of shock, Sam died, and... What about Sarah's boyfriend and the other one? Both killed by Lester?? What did happen to them?? Allright, I'm staying calm.. PS What happens in part 9?? Could you give a short summary?Please!

part 9 synopsis (spoiler) Sam accidentally uncovers Lester's face and after looking into his eyes becomes frozen in fear; both burn to death within the shack. Meanwhile, Jesse Keys, now a Vietnam veteran, returns home addicted to heroin and is haunted by his Alien Visitor-manipulated past and his military career. He eventually finds peace with the nurse Amelia, who helps him get over his addiction. This episode marks the deaths of Owen and Sam Crawford, and the birth of Mary Crawford.

From what I remember, Eric goes back to his father and with all his anger, tells him how Sam died. Eric continues to taunt his father until he suffers from a heart attack and dies.

All that aside - was this sub-plot written just to get Sam out of the story? It seems to me this whole thing could have been a movie all its own. And so far has little to do with the rest of the story.

I remember this coming on TV in the US but i only got watched as far as the operation on Jesse's dad. Thanks for posting these, vevrca. They've been a joy to watch.
