I had a corner in my basement that had black mold. I had a hell of a time getting rid of it. I never got sick or showed any signs of mold exposure than God.

@rumple19 Don't use bleach! Very ineffective when used on building materials. Bleach is only good for non-porous surfaces. Mold takes water to grow. Stop the excess water, remove moldy items and dry things out. Be careful of demo work with out personal protective equipment (HEPA filtered Respirator, gloves and disposable coveralls).

this has scared the hell out of me! i have athsma and ive just found a little mold in my bedroom and it has scared me half to death! i am now bleaching everything and i am close to calling the doctors

@rumple19 Bleaching makes it worse! It only dyes the mold spores white, so now you have white mold!

ive lived in a room with black mold for a year and a half im moveing bedrooms now that ive found it but i always have head aches and runny nose i should see a doctor

I lived in a moldy house for around 18 years. God blessed me with the opportunity to move to a very healthy environment recently. As we were moving things out, we found HUGE patches of black mold on the walls and underneath of cabinets. My mom has been suffering from most of those symptoms. I'm surprised it didn't kill us. I'm starting to wonder if it may have been the cause of my mental issues and severe acne that I can't get rid of.
