It's a shame Lada pulled out of the UK in the 90's but the reason was being down to tough emission regulations;to comply they needed a part from the states to fit to their cars to comply with it,and they just couldn't afford to get that part-had they done so and fitted it the cars would have met that requirement and still be sold here. I owned one of these cars in Britain.

I had 2 problems with it: the battery and the manual choke.

When they were fixed it never broke down and was a perfect A to B car all over Britain for 5 years.
