  • @golgod7n In your view, if a mix sounds pretty good, would you still master it even if, for example; If you would have to pull up +0.1 on the high end? Would you still make it go through the mastering process anyway?

  • quick question!

was the normalize on or off when you bounced the first audio?

the quality is terrible and i couldn't tell wether it was on or off

  • That high pitch whine is horrible!!!

  • Can I ask what the synth preset is, or how did you create the synth that first comes in at 00.57? Thanks!

  • "I'm going to save it as...well...master beat, for now." Master beat. Heh.

  • Hi,

The song in this tutorial is extremely beautiful!

Can I Add You as a facebookfriend????

  • Brill video, tks so much, its very clear. I wanted to ask a Q regarding the use of the active limiter. I was using it in my mix to boost everything, do you only use this during the mastering phase? Am i miss using this tool?

  • Again, I really wanna thank you for your videos. This is so helpful and so well explained

  • helpfull tutorials, thanks. One more quick question, I thought it was better to eport your mi on 2 seperate tracks (left and right) , isn't it?

  • The tutorial is great. I think there is a high frequency sound coming from the video. Do you have any problem with your mac or its you power problem. what is the source of that sound?... Even my computer gives a sound like this.

  • @sidaddicted2guitar I get this sound too, It comes from the cable to your audio interface. Shake the cable and it will stop. It is intermittent.

  • thanks you, this has helped a lot! quick thing, do you compress/EQ any individual tracks before sending it to master?

  • @AAhsim23

It all depends on if the tracks need it or not. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Depends on what exact sound you are looking for.

  • Do u use any third party plugins to mix and master such as Waves bundles, Lexicon, etc, or do you only use what's in Logic?

  • This has been soooooo helpfull, all of your videos have been

  • all your videos are great, in ghetto "words" u shitti'n on every body else whit your tutorials... thanks for sharing your knowledge whit people like me that couldn't go to school for this

  • what program are you using

  • @TeamKiddMula

    Logic Pro 9

  • Great tutorial! Hip tune! Thank you very much for the insight. Perfect timing.

  • is it not good to have any compression on any of the tracks before it goes into mastering? and what's happens if you already have a pre loaded compressor on your track? do you take it off?.

    Thanks man.

  • Good tutorial dude!! quick question....is it better to master your instrument tracks first or should i master instrument and vocal both together?

  • @ooProduction

You master everything together. Mastering is a one time thing. Mixing is when you tweak track levels, effects ect. on individual tracks.

  • @ooProduction The only real reason i asked is because i watched a few of your vids but you add none with actual vocal so i thought i would asked, i really want to mix and master my tracks better but when doing both mixing and mastering vocal tracks and instruments(beats) i find it very hard because it's too much going on for my hears to listen to. But now i think i going to master the beat first, atleast i know the only thing left is to mix and match the vocal with the final song.

  • Great tutorial, Thanks
