  • i think the only one was betty boop. where the lady pulls out watermelon to hush her child. xD

  • Dumbo is NOT RACIST!

  • If there was a video of white pigs molesting kids, shooting up schools and serial killing whites would see it as racist then

  • How is it racist if the cartoons are representing differences in the world :Y it's not a bad thing to be different, least it's showing more than just "one race" am I right? :D

  • @RAWRZTASTIC So you are pro racist. Don't mistake the meaning of the word fool.

  • I only get the Betty Boop reference

  • The one where the black lady was in church and the baby kept crying and he only shut up when she gave him watermelon was racist. The other one with Bugs Bunny where he's saying "don't beat me master" was racist too.

  • Im ova here dyin see all these ppl tryin to defend these cartoons. Yeah, I mite have enjoyed them as child but that shit is racist. If they made cartoons about white eating carrots & celery, drinkin soy milk, playin WoW & bein subpar athletes. U wood be mad.

  • people have become WAY too sensitive...it paralyzes them. see the world as you will, but it contains way less "racist" people that you might know..

  • nigga you racist

  • The watermelon and the don't beat me master.

  • I think the racist one is the person who believes that these cartoons were racist. I loved most of these. A few were not that funny but some were hilarious and I don't see what's wrong with them. Portraying characteristics of a group is NOT racist.

  • You're racist. Bitch

  • no.2 is the best one

  • ok i see how the BLACK cat waz crying and the mother gave it watermelon but the others r just u being with the KKK

  • Whats racist about Indians in Peter Pan? They're just displaying some Indian customs, whats wrong with that?

  • IGNORANCE!!!!!!! YOU BLIND BABY,YOU BLIND TO THE FACT CUZ YOU BE WATCHIN DAT GARBAGE!

  • It's not racist, this is how shit was done back then. Don't say lynching were acceptable too, because they fuckin weren't. Don't be that ignorant. Yeah people did lynch, but not everyone was for it.

  • They're funny and in the proper era. I guess it's appropriate for to make humiliating cartoons and movies about Caucasian people.

  • ...love how people are justifying something because it was appropriate at that time. So we're gonna justify senseless lynching because it was appropriate? There's a difference between acknowledging something that was wrong at that given time & thinking it's ok because it was at that given time. Dunno how some fail to see the obvious dehumanizing aspects of some clips here (really? What black person look that inhuman compared to the white people in the Betty Boop clip?)

  • @minahmyu Obviously you know little about film. In the Betty Boop clip, all the white people in the audience are background people designed to be part of the scenery. The star is on the Black woman who is designed to stand out so that you focus on her. Her child's cries of "Hi De Ho" was a reference to Cab Calloway and hit his hit song "Minnie the Moocher". Sure the cartoon pokes fun at stereotypes, but that does not make it racist.

  • @TheBossOfPW Lol and this is done by making black characters (for that matter, any non-white and/or American characters) inhuman in pretty much all cartoons that were done in this age? So that's how old cartoons were done? Betty Boop is the star in her show and um.. she looked pretty humanish to me. Come up with some better excuse to justify. Seriously, it'll be better to accept than to ignore/deny its racist intent no matter how much you like it. I'm done with this convo here~

  • I fail to see the racism in these clips. More like an exgeration on stereptypes then anything else, and I frankly find it more funny then anything else.

  • obama and all the liberals are the racist ones

  • the only racist thing is 0:42

  • Okay guys, lets be honest, a few of these are racist, because they are being incredibly stereotypical. The Jungle Book one is not one of these. Also, Lady and the Tramp is a stretch as well. And as for the Dumbo scene, if you really wanted to pick out the racism in that movie, you should have gone with the opening scene. But despite all of this, you need to realize that what they were doing was completely acceptable at the time, and shouldn't be looked at with disdain.

  • I love the top comments! They're so different, it's like each one has theyre own point of view and theyre both correct! *Clap clap clap* just beautiful :')

  • They are all funny stereotypes! wtf.

  • 0:43 lmao... that's not funny.

  • Comment removed

  • @0unhallowed0 i totally agree...it's hilarious! Youre far too stuck up.

  • The Dumbo scene was drawn by Ward Kimball, an Irish-American jazz trombonist and civil rights activist. The small bespectacled crow may be a self-portrait. The crows talk and dress like hipsters, the forerunners of beatniks, as can be heard on various jazz records of the time. They're witty, understanding, more likeable than any of the human characters, and they help Dumbo fulfil his potential; in short, they are cool, and that was how the 1941 audience saw them. Where exactly is the "racism"?

  • @danlefou Hi,

We have the same problem in France, the simple fact of being white, makes you an implicit racist for a minority of peoples, . And If you are honest enough for noticing that all the humans are not the same color of skin then God Help you, because you are a horrible racist etc etc .. This is why peoples usually very short minded indeed, will see racism anywhere where there is a character impersonating a Black, Yellow, White or Red personnel stereotype :)

  • The only racist son of a bitch I see here is you.

You are so stupid to think these represent something other than what they are really meant to be, CARTOONS.

  • #7 "The Jungle Book 1967" on your list was sung by Louis Prima. A WHITE ITALIAN. Are you saying that Walt Disney was trying to make him out to be black or are you saying he was saying that Italians are like monkeys? It was jazz. Do you not appreciate the contribution that blacks made to American Pop Culture? You should listen to Billie Holiday, Nat Cole, Sinatra and know how they influenced each other in so many ways.

These cartoons were classic and they'll never make them like this anymore.

  • @reycamoy Really? Just because they are CARTOONS does not mean that there weren't side jokes that were meant for adults actually 4 out of the 10 on here are racist just because they are ignorant portrayls of how certain races (Black especailly.....and I'm not referring to Dumbo) appeared to the artist.

  • @reycamoy damn right

  • @reycamoy im gonna have to disagree with you because most of these clips were used to depict black people

  • @reycamoy Yeah, these cartoons aren't racist because we all know that black people have coal black skin and lips that take up 1/4th of their face, how Asian people have giant teeth, squinty eyes and are creepy, and Native Americans are all strawberry skinned savages.

So according to your logic,a cartoon featuring a fat white Southerner with one hand in a bottle of mayonnaise and another hand holding up a confederate flag while wearing a nascar t-shirt isn't racist either.

  • @MissCherrybomb87

The navive Americans in Peter Pan (from the 1911's book) are just awesome (maybe a few misogyne). And for the asians, there were all some caricatural of Hirohito... It was an another time (without Internet, nobody would knew thoses cartoons).

Except for the no-racits ones (Disney films, mainly).

  • @reycamoy you mean to tell me you dont find giving a crying black child a watermellon to calm down, isnt racist? you do realize alot of these were ment to be that way, it was a diffrent time, just look at the banned 7 cartoons list

  • @syntaxgamer why would a woman giving his child a piece of fruit so he'd be quiet be racist?

  • @reycamoy you really dont see it?

  • @reycamoy obviously you dont understand that joke, back in the days of slavery, slaves didnt have any luxuries. so they were given the cheapest of foods, most of the time that was watermelon. so often slaves would eat nothing but watermelon. and thats why its racist. just like chicken is racist towards blacks .

  • Should have warned that this was most racist gif images.

  • how the hell is the jungle book racist? he's an ape.... You're racist if you're implying that King Louis is supposed to be black...

  • Most of this aren't even racist

  • Racist is really an overused and misunderstood term in this day in age. Seriously people, get over yourselves. Grow a sense of humor and loosen up some. Laugh at yourselves and with the world around you.

Can't anybody focus on good or funny anymore? Why does it always have to be about the bad and the hateful?

  • Every single clip from Wonder Showzen is more racist than all of these put together x 100.

  • How in a million years is Tom and Jerry racist? People used to have afro-american househelpers... All of this is not racism, it is realism... At this certain time period it was considered humourous! Everything was so much funnier and awesome when we could take risks!

Instead of this fur-wrapped society we have now... Some people needs to learn how society is/was, and we are not going to accept that if we ignore it... Please stop and accept the past, the future and the present.

  • @MegaKaaber Exactly, theres a huge difference between realism and racism, or racism and political correctness. But who cares about political correctness? People need to learn to take a joke

  • How is the Jungle Book number racist? The apes just want to be like humans.

  • @lalala1087 If you actually read Rudyard Kipling, you will realize that the Disney version of King James, is really cool, compared to the original too ;)

  • 875 people are weak stomached and cant laugh at themselves or handle a little fun.

  • the only good part of the video was the message at the start

  • well i been playing the weeknd for a while now. songs will not disappoint. Them crows from dumbo remind me of the crows from the wiz. King Louie didnt offend me but i guess i can see why someone would be. Where is snowflake the centaur and that one cat from the aristocats. hahah

  • The word ''racist'' is really over used these days, none of these clips were racist.

  • i love how ppl call these classic commercials racist when 1: that was completely appropriate for the time they were made in and 2: they do a good job about teaching kids about culture. a little kid has no idea these references are so-called "racist" anyway

  • ...None of them were racist?

  • nigger uploader detected!!

  • Seems Everything is Racist. Sheesh. I neer thought anything about these cartoons. I like The Tijuana Toads.

  • P.S. Lady and the tramp "We are Siamese if you please" Is Racists??????? you Ignorant

liberals get a life, it is not Racists and it also shows that whoever says so has never owned I female Siamese cat

  • Oh for Pete sake there are only two racists clips in the whole group the Betty Boop clip and the wwll Japanese clip. The WWll clip is understandable considering Pearl Harbor though. as for the rest, liberals quit bashing golden era cartoons, yes some of them like Lazy Town are ultra racists, But speedy Gonzales is not. I don't know if the banned ones have been shown on Tv since 1969

  • All this is so funny because it is true. Fuckin chinks only care about money, niggers are animlas, wetbacks are fuckin vile and worthless. Only ythe white man is evolvled. Fuckin the vasy majority of people are fuckin sub humans, this is why white men being 3% of world pop. are in control of everything because we are the most superior.

  • @darkdetectivelives ....How about you shut the fuck up? Ignorant piece of shit. You've obviously been brought up terribly. I applaud your parents.

  • 861 black-yellow youtuber disliked this video :D

White pride world wide ! xD

  • more like sterio types in cartoons

  • I fail to see the point here. The current generation is about as bland, generic, dull and boring as can be. Their political correctness has wrecked the country.

  • you have to much time on you hands

  • I can't be the only person that misses Slow Poke Rodriguez.

  • Wow. . . saying black people like watermelon. . . It's like slavery all over again. Seriously people? I wonder what you do when you come across something legitimately offensive. . .

  • Funny how you don't notice these things as kids and when you're an adult you're a little more observant. Out of all of these, I would say that only half of them are actually racist - 1) Betty Boop, 2) Popeye, 3) The Flinstones, 4) Peter Pan, 5) Looney Toons. The rest are just racially stereotypical, which isn't the same thing but it can still be pretty bad.

  • so basically your saying any cartoon character that has a voice that doesn't sound white is racist?

  • @2rad008

no but alot of them do depict over exagerated customs of people from different ethnic backgrounds...

besides alot of them were made a while back when when we were even more racist

  • "ouwt OUT!"

    awww..that's messed up..

  • How is this racist. I guess I am dumb.

  • @g6ypk

Half of it is racist, the other half is just racially stereotypical.

  • this aint no racist shit, you motherfuckin prawn

  • this is a dumb ass post. not racist. it is simply picking fun at sterotpes of the time

  • You forgot the cat who played piano with chopsticks in the aristocrats

  • So racist you are right, did you see all the stereotypes of white people in there. Some many white people in there, so racist.

  • this lagg like shit

  • maybe stereotypical but not racist. get it right :)

  • Not even your Video atleast give LiquidTubeGeneration props...

  • How in the hell were some of these considered racist? The junglebook one? Please, people's racial sensitivity is in need of some anti-cry baby pills.

  • @MichaeldeParma king louie is a black he sounds black and looks black thqt much is obvious but he wants to be like the human aka the white

  • @troy9o9

You are seriously over reaching here.Time to get a reality check.

  • If you point out that somebody is different does that equate to racism?

  • I didn't get how either of these were racist, could you spell it out for me?

  • 0:45 the betty boop one was pretty bad...

  • I fuckin love those Magpies i don't care what anyone says lol

  • these cartoons were great i loved politically incorrect and racist cartoons.

  • But i be done seen about evy-thiiiiiiiiing

  • some of this is just harmless humor, I thought the dumbo cartoon made black people look cool!

  • God i love these old cartoons they are so funny, before that PC crap screwing it up for everyone.

  • @mrgeorge7196 I loved the good ole days, back when people didnt bitch about PC crap.

  • @mrgeorge7196 True. There's nothing wrong with them. It's just a bit of fun. Next thing we'll be banning everything because there will always be somebody getting offended at something. Stupid really.

  • The singer in the Jungle Book was Louis Prima, an Italian American.

  • watch this video??? you mean watch the frames

  • @witeNshine Since when is Kevin Hart a troll on youtube?

  • If liking What makes the red man red song makes me racist then I'm a racist.

  • Damn this plays a whole 5 frames per second!

  • I found these cartoons more quaint than offensive. I've found worse on 1970's-era TV programs, let alone South Park or Family Guy.

  • these are not racist at all. We're a nation of wimps

  • as a black man i just wanna say......i couldnt find anything racist about this video and i replayed it again..imnot sure about how asians and mexicans and indians feel but i was cool with it...i died laughing when the mother gave her kid a watermelon to shut em up..that would work for me now though lol...still not getting how saying we like a certain food makes you a racist?....whatever i guess

  • R.I.P headphone users

  • Get over it.

  • while I agree that the Popeye thing is horrible, you have to keep in mind that we were at war with Japan in 1942. This was probably made even more stereotyped than most films from just a few years before that to make people (kids) hate the Japanese even more. It's intentionally horrible, which is slightly less horrible than say "why is the red man red?" which came out more than ten years later. The writers of Peter Pan have no excuse for racist native American stereotypes.

  • and how in the hell does wshh.com own this video? they took it from somebody else doesnt make it theres

  • lame!

  • every last one is funny. I guess you have never watched Family Guy or South Park

  • Let's Do This!!!

  • people today really don't know what the term "Racist" means. the definition is "believing that another race is inferior to others".

  • @GuitarsRgood yeah and usually when ppl see other races inferior to the others or their own they make funn of itttt. example the cartoon clips above and they are old cartoons u dont see anything like that these on cartoon network because it would be considered racist. lolz.

  • @GuitarsRgood sounds like fascism in europe alright

  • How was most of those suppose to be racist?...Siamese cats saying they are siamese,

Crows talking about flying animals, an orangutang singing he wants to be like a human, slowpoke having a gun, a judo(japanese martial arts) instructor having a japanese-type accent, and tom getting thrown out of the house. Bugs Bunny could possibly be considered racist but it is setting during the Civil War era.

  • Number 4 LOOOOOL

  • Not sure I get number 7?

  • Fuckin' slideshow city, man.

  • I dont get any of them.

  • @TheRawAnonymousGM Well, number 9 had one of the thickest accents ever, and number 8 was that the people were darker than every one else, and she fed the baby watermelon. Number 6 was a super-stereotype Japanese accent. Number 5, more stereotypes. In number 4, the Asian man has bad grammar and Fred says "shukiyuki". Number 3 shows Peter turn "red" which is probably subtle racism. Number 2 clearly mocks "slave and slave owner". And in number 1, she misspells out.

  • Only about half of these are overtly racist, the rest feel forced to me.

  • Betty boop one was fucked up but hilarious lol

  • #2 was definately the best

  • oh no not bugs bunny LOL.

  • I laughed at all of these. Have you never seen teh Three Stoges do their schtik on Hitler & El Duce ? Walt Disney, Walter Lance...everybody lampooned our enemies in WWII. For God's sake, they were our ememies !

  • Betty boop...... Damn not all black people eat watermelon

  • The bug's bunny one doesn't have the whole joke, it's followed by bugs dressed up as Abraham Lincoln yelling something about the gettysburg address and chastising Yosimidy about slavery.

  • Yeah da bugs bunny one was a little fucked up

  • Lmao! at the Betty Boop scene! Trying to say that black people are always loud and interrupt lool. I'm black and I can laugh at this. You guys need to lighten up. As someone else said, it's more of a stereo type thing. For me, the bugs bunny one is the only one that strikes a bit of a cord. The rest are more hilarious than racist.

  • lol at the Siamese cats... To me, most of these are more funny than racist. You just need a bit of humour lol. I'm black and I'm not really offended by a lot of these. They were just trying to express culture in different ways. I agree that it can "come across" as racist, but I doubt that was their intention.

  • @dfjnjfn The Disney ones were made in the 1940's a time when Walt Disney himself was a racist, sexist, and anti Semitic. Which is documented in print and in film. The creator of these films was a racist, so one can argue that the characters can hace racist undertones. the betty Boop one is messed up.

  • @AiruhnG It's messed up, but also hilarious. I'm a 23 year old black guy, I'm totally against racism, but the betty boop scene had me laughing

  • @AiruhnG hundreds of people were involved in the making of each and every one of those Disney movies. If one or two people had refused to work on the project it wouldn't have made a difference but hundreds of people said "that's not so bad" and let these films be made with those horrible stereotyped, racist images.

All that is needed for evil to prevail is for good men to sit back and do nothing.

  • Who are the weekend sound like fags!

  • Not racist at all.

  • am i the onlyh black person that thinks racism is hilarious

  • @bigtoken90 maybe because you haven't been effected by racism as much as others

  • nice slideshow

  • RACIST, EVEN TO ANAMALS! THAT IS JUST NOT COOL

  • How are these racist moments? Seriously.

  • @MusicFanatic71 Most of these I can ignore. But that scene where the black baby is fed with watermelon to stop crying is Blatantly racists. There's no excusing that scene. Why a watermelon? WHy not milk or a toy? Watermelon is a stereotype that all black people love it. So using it in the scene is obviously racist. If u cant see that much than ur never gonna get it

  • @HumanLife52627

so if an Italian family sat down to pasta at dinner in a movie you would call it racist? Just because something is typical doesn't make it hateful to point it out.

  • @luvinjaymz It is not typical that black people like watermelon. Its also not typical that black people eat fried chicken. Since its not typical thats why its is a stereotype. Italian family eating pasta is not a stereotype because pasta is a part of their culture. Them eating pasta would be seen as typical or even traditional. So if someone came and told a black mom "Just feed that baby some watermelon and chicken and it will stop crying" is extremely offensive statement.

  • @HumanLife52627

you're right... I guess all the non-offended black people on here are wrong.

  • @luvinjaymz

maybe its american portrayals that are the problem then. when movies over-portray a black guy as the good guy just to show diversity, or lump Africa into one big charity case, or when people cant say the word black out loud, or call every black person "african", THATS NOT RACIST OR OFFENSIVE. but inferring that a black kid would like watermelon, same as inferring that greeks like souvlaki... THATS OFFENSIVE. no one went up to any mom. its a stupid, stereotyping cartoon joke.

  • @HumanLife52627

sorry, i just don't like people throwing the word "racist" around like it's nothing. stereotype, yes, there are many. but there are fewer people out there that experiencing racism than we acknowledge. tossing the term around like anything that offends anybody is racist takes away from those people

  • @luvinjaymz Its the history behind the stereotypes that make it strong. Truth is, minorities (especially blacks) will ALWAYS view these types of context different than whites. That will not change. Blacks have racial paranoia where they "feel" that they are being racially judged. Whether these assumptions are true or not it is a re occuring phenomena. As a blk 22yr I used to believe that every1 loved blk ppl, but after getting pulled over AND searched by police for no reason I am now skeptical

  • @HumanLife52627 but you're just a fuckin spearchucker...so who the fuck cares what you think ya smelly nigger innit?

  • @DancingMedicineMan That's my point. no one cares and I don't expect them to. In fact it doesn't even bother me that much anymore because when I die none of this wont even matter.

  • @HumanLife52627

I just find it hilarious that THAT one seems most offensive to you

  • most of these army racest

  • hay- these are animated versions of people with noses. I really resent that as a stereo type. I have a nose, and have had a nose all my life. You all are racist pigs. Isn't there a developmental stage in life where you stop seeing the differences and look for the similarities? I guess that means both "them" and "us"...

  • Why the fuck does this video lag so bad?

  • Id say more stereotype than racist. But bugs Bunny and the Betty Boop ones were racist.

  • Disney is not racist, its dumb people today who have to have something to complain about.

  • ive had more resolution playing frogger...

  • someone tell me how these are racist

dumbo lady and the tramp the jungle book looney tunes the Flintstones peter pan tom and Jerry quick answer please

  • most of these was old and racist didnt matter then

  • That Dumbo clip just reminds me of Eddie Murphy or like Dave Chappelle. I absolutely do not remember the Bugs Bunny cartoon from my childhood. Meh. I think some of that stuff is reflective of the times, like the Japanese guy drinking gasoline (the U.S. was at war with the Japanese when that was made I think.) And Looney Tunes was legendary for references to different things and cultures. It was then what Family Guy is today. If you think Looney Tunes is edgy in retrospect, look at Family Guy. ;)

  • just because a character is modeled after a culture it doesn't mean it's awkward. and the king louie thing just makes sense that its played by an african american...they're in the fucking jungle and what culture lives near the amazon? hm idk africans? it has nothing to do with racism it's just people forcing subtext to come out of something that was not intended.

  • @philaniceto ummmm the amazon is in south america...

  • @auhosj877 so is africa....no i'm just kidding haha. guess i should brush up on my geography

  • i dont get #10 help?
