@infsiso, the song is an EZGirl score written specifically for the show. It's available online (maybe also on the second season score soundtrack?) and it's titled simply: "Bette Drunk"
I like Bette's answer, that she would run away from herself in opposite direction. I think, I would do the same, even though I haven't cheated on anyone
Gosh it's been a year since my last post on this video. This 4 minutes and 2 seconds, for me, is one of the saddest & most heart wrenching of all 6 seasons, parallel to Tina's devastation of learning of Bette's infidelity & her collapse into Alice's arms. The pain is really tough to watch & of course Ms. Beals is superb!
It broke my heart when Bette cheated on Tina... The carpenter she went with wasn't even nice..!!!! Bette and Tina where made for each other... Seeing them together happy taking care of Angelica is something awsome.. So sweet and jaw dropping... But seeing Bette or Tina crying over the bullshit that the other did is devastating... I can't believe the show has ended...
What the hell was Tonya thinking with this game!? Really!? Of all the conversations they could have had, she starts one on dating, when clearly Bette is miserabe because of Tina leaving her. Wow, she has no shame that one! Hate her! But love Bette!
Seeing bette cry made me almost cry because bette is not like the type of person to cry or show too much emotions. Seeing how she cried because she missed tina was moving. I'm a big tibette fan and was heartbroken with their split but now happy because they are back together.
You wrote this comment like 3 months ago but anyway...its still true!!!!! Jennifer Beals is SOOOO HOT, i have no words!!!!Wish I was Tina sometimes ahaha
ditto mikka 200 & M2LIZ4u. The pain is palpable and I too get chocked up everytime I view it. and yes the interaction between friends and their pain is so moving.
I find a lot of scenes moving and a lot of scenes worth crying over, but this is probably the only scene, taking out of context like this that can make me cry, just like that, everytime i see it. Jennifer Beals is an acting godess.
This is just one of the saddest yet skillful scenes of any season of the L word to date. Bette's sadness is so heartbreaking, and then it's just so sweet but even sadder o see Alice and Shane comfort her. Amazing. I don't think I've watched this yet without crying!
If only Tina could have seen Bette like this. It says more than words can express.
This scene was skillfully directed reminding us as viewers that true friendships surpass uncomfortable circumstances. Although Alice didn't approve of Bette's behavior in the affair she is reminded of their friendship when she sees Bette in this particular state of mind. The most memorable line in this scene is when Bette cries, "I'm sorry..I'm sorry,"as she admits her regret. The line was delivered with such feeling it touched my heart. This scene allows the viewer to experience her pain.
Such a powerful and moving scene, with Bette's character full of bitterness and pain, both softened by her friends compassion. Once again, great acting ! Thanks for sharing
whoaa.. your comment was a year ago.. but if you were still wondering it was Basement Band Song by The Organ... yup. and then Steven Smith.. both on Grab That Gun. I love that album. so gooood.
I love this sequence. These scenes with Bette were heartbreaking and I'm glad that Ilene let us see the consequences of infidelity from the standpoint of the person who made the mistake of hurting someone she loved. I think they did a really good job in both Season 1 and Season 2 of showing how disappointed Bette was in her own behavior.
I agree with you on those points, but Bette had a chance to get Tina back by breaking it off with "The Carpenter" right away, and she didnt. It was like getting caught for some reason wasn't enough
@kaylis1969 Your post was a long time ago, but I've been catching up on L Word and this is the most frustrating thing to me. After how devastated Tina was that night, and then their dysfunctional sex, Tina left and apparently Bette went at some point back to Candace. I hated that more than anything. Up to that point, even though she had cheated, I was sympathetic to her. But it seems to me like she expected Tina to immediately forgive her and when she didn't, she ran back to Candace.
bette so pretty but i would have been like d***it bette party killer

Alice: "I know, Baby" - Heartbreaking. Such a revelation to see Alpha Bette so vulnerable, and so touching how Alice and Shane take care of her.
