There is nothing more irritating than someone taking a video of their computer screen. I don't care if you have an hp monitor, or even an acer! Just show me how to do what the title of the video says.
hey i had google map on phone first....but after doing tht update.... thn i tried to download google map ..... but i cnt even find google map online ..it keep sayin sorry google map is not compatibale with your phone ..do u kno anything about it...thnxxxxx
thanks acdf672 for the info. xx4000 thanks for the additional info. cuguy1, you're right, we are just updating the firmware that "unlocks" the gps. i am unsure as of today if verizon has updated their firmware to enable gps yet.
i think that what you doing is just updating the firmware, the old one doesn't allow any app to use GPS other than Verizon Nav, and the newer one actually do... I could be wrong
I followed the video and idoctor's instructions precisely. BackingUp my phone and installing the firmware was a synch. However, it took all day before google could find my phone. To add, there are no GPS options under Settings-->System Tab as it shows in other videos (not sure if they were there before). Few things to note, Sprite Backup is not Freeware (found torrent), it did not restore my contacts (synced in Outlook fortunately), Hard Reset did not work as shown (reset phone in Settings menu)
