You are right! But be sure that this kind of things can reach more people, and I agree with you, you don't need to be a star to make a differende, but if they can support your effort, they are making public the work of thousands who don't have the media to popularize their compromise.

The One campaign isn't actually about the participants donating money. It's about using your VOTE to influence government to take steps to save peoples lives. About 2.5 million people have already pledged their vote. Go to one(dot)org if you want to pledge yours.

Many of these celebrities have been donating. Donating their money, their time and they've been doing so for many years. They came to the realization that it wasn't enough, that people were still starving needlessly, and dying needlessly from illnesses that could, and should be treated.

They decided to use their celebrity for more than getting into an exclusive club, or restaurant. I, for one, completely support their efforts.
