  • FANTASTIC TRACK FROM THOSE BRILLIANT 70S CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well you know when I was in high school some neighbors of mine had a band and one of the guys named Leslie Maddox in Atlanta, GA introduced us to the Nite-Liters. And me being a trumpet player we listened and play the record over and practiced this song until we got it right. When we played at a local rec center called Mark Trail we rocked this song out. Victor Choates played sax...it was awesome and it still is an awesome instrumental to this day. Man where did the time go!!! D. Harvey

  • Louis La roche should remix this song..!! <3

  • I'm 25 years old, and I love that kind of music, it is an everlasting good song!

  • Love the latin feel on this

  • Nite-Liters peaked at #39 on 9-11-71, IMO this song should have been in the Top 10

  • where can i find this record????

  • what year did this come out?

  • sorry not a toptune!!!!!!!!!!!!! disco saturday night fever pop.

  • i didn't klow this was done before MFSB. Thanks for the post. it rocks.

  • A great instrumental! "K-Jee" peaked on the U.S. Billboard chart in July 1971!

Bravo, The Nite-Liters (New Birth, Inc.)!

  • Ah, when funk was real!

  • I remember when this song originally came out in 1971 near the time that song scorpio by Gary Glitter came out.

  • could not think of who did the original version. thanks!

  • I've heard this song late last night on the 70s channel from Music Choice and it totally blew me away, I've always loved this song a lot

  • An old favorite at the Highland Room, Blackpool early 70's. Great track.

  • Nice!

  • love it just heard it for the first time on zeroradio.co.uk reminds me of another track i cant place at the moment

  • They used to play this cut on WNBC 66am many years ago when they had time running up to the top of the hour. DJ's like Bob Vernon (with a V) and Oogie Pringle would talk over the music.

  • what year was this released. was it b4 the mfsb version?

  • @mrapina about 4 yrs before MFSB version...think this version has a more funky soul sound, while MFSB has a more polished"philly soul" sound...I'm partial to MFSBs' version!

  • @mrapina 1971

  • Man it's great to hear this again!! Reminds me of some tremendous house parties in South Central while knowing nothing of drive-bys! Thanks for posting

  • @wedge4hire Before "Tookie", before drive-bys, before Crips and before Bloods. . . when things seemed a lot simpler.

  • Boom track - timeless and sexy

  • Louisville Kentucky Talent this was the beginning of the band New Birth!!!! It's still sounds sooo good.

  • Its the disco era beggining.

And it was originarie from SOUL.

    I love this track.
