Well you know when I was in high school some neighbors of mine had a band and one of the guys named Leslie Maddox in Atlanta, GA introduced us to the Nite-Liters. And me being a trumpet player we listened and play the record over and practiced this song until we got it right. When we played at a local rec center called Mark Trail we rocked this song out. Victor Choates played sax...it was awesome and it still is an awesome instrumental to this day. Man where did the time go!!! D. Harvey
once again stupid niggers a monkey didnot write this song it was wrote in 1960,s by alatin man louise some thing typical nigger always trying to steal some thing even if it is only credit ; and rember kids if its wrap its crap aint no shuch ting as anigger thats a poet !now go get me some towels boy thats all your good for !
They used to play this cut on WNBC 66am many years ago when they had time running up to the top of the hour. DJ's like Bob Vernon (with a V) and Oogie Pringle would talk over the music.
@mrapina about 4 yrs before MFSB version...think this version has a more funky soul sound, while MFSB has a more polished"philly soul" sound...I'm partial to MFSBs' version!
Man it's great to hear this again!! Reminds me of some tremendous house parties in South Central while knowing nothing of drive-bys! Thanks for posting
