So yes, it will sting. BUT pain tolerance does make a difference, if you have a hard time taking pain then it will hurt a lot more than if you were to be someone who can easily take and withstand pain.

for me it felt like when you cut yourself and you put it under water, but then when it moved to a more fleshy part, it hurt a bit more. the pain varies.

mines around half the size of this tattoo on my lower back and that took 15 minutes. the tattoo artist was really cheeky so it helped to laugh off the pain. just expect the worst pain and you'll probably just be relieved that it's not as bad as you think. it was my first tattoo and i was 16 too.

When I got my tattoo I was generally ok, I have a high tolerance to pain but it still hurts. If you want it bad you'll get it anyway and the pain may be neverending but it will end and you will hopefully have a beautiful piece of work on your body. Basically it feels like a bunch of razors nicking you at once, but it goes on for depending on what it is hours.

lol duh... trust me, think about what you're getting. Also, don't just pick out something off a wall or in a book that they give you. Customize it, make it yours... god knows how many people would have the same tattoo as you if you just pick something out of an example book. Also, shop around... don't just go to the nearest shop, ask for portfolios and examples of previous work. Do that and you should love your tattoo 20 years from now.

I have 60% full body Japanese tattoos. Most done with electric needles. If you strung it all together I have probably spent weeks sitting in a tattooists chair getting - and at the same time watching others get - tattoos.

Does ppl even know why they're not allowed to be drunk or have painsalve/oinment.. It's because the blood gets thinner and if you get a tattoo while drunk or other your skin will bleed so much more.

Most ppl are nervous before the needle gets in the skin. But when it does your gonna be so proud of your self that you didn't chicken out. Think that it's gonna hurt like hell and when you do it it's not gonna be that much pain afterall.

The more fleshy areas (thigh, upper arm etc.) tend not to be as painful. Parts like the ribs and ankle they tend to hurt a bit more. But it all depends on how you take pain. I got my elbows tattooed a while back took 3 hours to do both and it hurt pretty bad, but nothing unbearable. You'll never get a good answer to the "how do tats feel?" question. You just got to do it. I did and I love it so much, I'm getting full body art. Piercings still freak me out though. Email if you want to know more.
