In the final analysis the real Vedic varna system means the same as what science would have us to follow - each according to his inborn aptitudes and choosing his occupation in line with that. Somewhere in this series, Mr Cho says that as such, the Vedas did NOT mean any hereditary system, but some authorities do not accept that definition, etc. NO ADDITIONAL HARM WILL RESULT IF THEIR OBJECTIONS ARE NOT HEEDED.

Varnas were misnamed 'castes' by half-informed European scholars, since castes, whose origin is not the Vedas,but can only be tribal such as in Africa. The crux of this video series as it is advertised with the title as it is, is that what once was originally a four-fold system ofVarnas based on Guna and Karma(loosely, inborn qualities and occupation chosen by individuals in line with his own Gunas) changed into a hereditary one, which has NO SANCTION IN THE VEDAS. and was just a communal one.>>
