I live in africa.

Its great here...only have electricity one day per month . water is limited to twice a week and mash potatoes arrive by ship once every 6 months .

we recently got our first Seattle Coffee chain here , it is wonderfull.

Africa is a Great country , with endless oppurtinities , the African dollar is weak though , currently at 500 to one zimbabwian dollar.

Look for "Oil Reserves" on wikipedia - Africa has only 9% of oil reserves, less than in America...

Africa has bad soil and not many resources.

y should we only help africa they need to start their own country like America did. We weren't flooded with billions of dollars and we started the most influential richest country out of nothing . Its sad but the only thing we can do to make them independent is to establish a democrocy and capitalism they can't be dependent on us forever.

Also, Europeans left the US alone on somewhat OK terms around 200 years ago after the war of 1812. They left Africa on bad terms 50 to as little as 10 years ago after world war 2. i would want to know ANY african good being sold in US.The Aid was not designed to help Africa but to open their markets and increase the iron grip of the recipient dictators on power.Dictataors send thesame aid money given into their private bank accounts in the west.Their people are then held responsible for the debts so incurred.
