The improvisation is so outstanding by both musicians, that their musical thoughts are ahead of any other known musicians in this country. Here Bill Evans inspire Stan Gets an on the second turn Stan comes back with some astonishing ideas, Truly a remarkable achievement! Gabi
Btw, can someone find Getz' interpretion of 'All God's Chillun Got Rytm' here on YouTube? 'think Getz' version is by far the most resounding pleasure for the ears, but the compact disc I bought 20 years ago has apparently crashed :-(
There IS something very early modern about this music. Unlike other jazz, it doesn't wail out from the back alleys of Orleans. It sings a song that evokes martinis, bow ties, and conversation about Aquinas.
"Chi vuole sapere di più su di me, cioè sull'artista, l'unico che vale la pena di conoscere, osservi attentamente i miei dipinti per rintracciarvi chi sono e cosa voglio"
opa.... i must apologize ( myself)... I typed N instead of M... writting Klimt.. lol.. ok ok... and.. by the way.. it looks that you like music as me... tks for replying..

Great juxtaposition with the Klimt painting.

Wow, you just know that Kenny Barron heard this. Listen to N&D on Getz's People Time. IT'S AMAZING! One of the best jazz performances ever....
