  • now trevor bayne won the 500 in just his second race

  • That was my first race :) I wouldnt trade that experience for anything

  • wtf I had no idea he was 26 in 2002 lol

  • Jamie who ? lol

  • @deering1134 haha

  • lol i have this video NASCAR 2002

  • It was pretty cool. But he had my mans hotrod

  • nice burnout lol

  • Major McMurray

  • Jamie has been doing so amazing! This was one awesome day for him.... then with the 2 race wins with Roush... and now the 2010 season, 2 more wins, and NASCAR'S biggest races at that... wow... just, what an amazing guy!!

Congrats to him, he deserves it.. I'm Huge fan, couldnt ask for a more awesome driver to follow!

  • Still waiting for a live upload of the finish after three years. I've gotten so much false promise since X_X

  • To win now, you need to be consistant enough through 26 races, then be in the top 5 for the last ten races, this is why I hate the chase, johnson is the best at doing that because the final ten tracks, happen to be his best ten tracks. :'( Let Martin win once, Martin robbed of ROY in 82 robbed in 1990, 2002 and 2009. I H*** that M*****F*****

  • @LastMartinFanLeft You hate the chase because it all you have to do is be good in the last 10 races but Martin barley made the chase, without it he would have ended up outside of the top 5. So make up your mind. Besides, how was he robbed?

  • @111cados111 My dad made a prediction, "when the COT comes out, one, and only one driver will dominate. Mark Martin, look up the NASCAR seasons of 1990,1994,1998,2002, and 2009, and then you will see why he is robbed, espically in 1990 and 2009 (JOHNSON AND NASCAR SITTING BENEATH A TREE, K-I-S-S-I-N-G) I am really not in the mood, since my cat wreck my sm and I was too far into the race so I couldn't just restart it. MARTIN IS A REAL NASCAR DRIVER, not the NASCAR PET!

  • His "terrible luck" in the 42 car was twice coming in 11th in points when NASCA R only let 10 drivers in. Under todays rules he'd have been in.

Keep your eye on him this year.

  • Can someone explain to me how he got in the lead was it of speed or strategy what?

  • Jamie & Bobby Labonte actually had very strong cars as the sun went down. They basically duked it out the final 100-150 laps. If I remember correctly

  • He won by like taking just gas or 2 tires i think it was startegy thi

  • @Wazupp1212 yeah shut up

  • @maxipads1441 He just had a strong car. That was the best team that season and when you get good equipment, it makes things a little easier.

  • safe to say yesterday's was bigger

  • Why is this the only video of Jamie McMurray winning this this race? I can't find any others.

  • this was my first Nascar race, i was 10!!!

  • @BTop88 cool?

  • sterling marlin probably would have won the cup if he didnt hurt his neck

  • lo 1:34

  • u know, ever since this win, Jamie McMurry has had always the last say in everything.

this win along with daytona and talladega, he did it in very good fashion

  • I'm a McMurray fan.. and I hope he leaves Roush at the end of this year.. and yes.. he is the unluckiest driver in the history of this sport.. he would of made the chase in 07 if not for the horrendous luck.. he had good cars that year!

  • His only shot would be if the Stewart-Haas stable expands to 3 cars.

  • I think Steve Park already has that title.

  • Don't forget about how much bad luck he had in the 42 also. He had the 2nd most top tens in 2004, but his bad luck kept him out of the chase. He would've been in the chase in 2005, but I think it was Scott Riggs that took him out at Richmond.

  • @RichieWilliams97 So true. He had terrible luck in the 42 and to an extent in the 26 as well.

  • i agree. jamie has such bad luck. He's a good driver this video proves it. Jack Roush doesn't appreciate his talent tho. He needs to go someplace like Hendrick or Gibbs so he can get fair treatment and not be overshadowed by carl greg and matt.

  • unfourtunary (bad spelling) NASCAR cars are all the same so it isnt how good ford dodge toyata or chevy is it all now all depends on how good the driver is anymore

  • That's the most ignorant statement I've ever heard, 3intimid8or.

  • well who do you see win the? Same ol people Johnson Stewart Martin Kyle Busch and sometimes Gordan you never see rookies win unless its called from rain plus you never see people like Newman or Boywer win.

  • Johnson, Stewart, Martin, Ky Busch, Ku Busch, Gordan, Vickers, Mcmurray, Kahne, Kenseth, and Hamlin all won races last year without getting rained out. Not to mention all the guys that contended for wins like Biffle, Edwards, Montoya, Burton, and Harvick. Now, you are gonna have guys that are better than others, but Nascar has better competition then any other motorsport in the world. It could be like formula one, indy, or motocross, where two or three people win each week, but its not.

  • well true but I still like the late 80s races when people slid sideways and everyone bumped scraped and scrounged for pos. plus people had to race the entire season to win the championship.

  • Yeah, I agree with ya. The 80's had great racing. I do like the chase, but seeding the drivers by amount of wins just kills the "regular season." They need to reward consistency because that's what built the sport.

  • mcmurray is very underated. I don't know of any driver who has worse luck. I also think he would do better somewhere else. There are too many big heads over at roush and he's not getting the attention he deserves. Five teams are too many and one team is always gonna be left out.

  • unluckiest driver in the history of nascar. i swear im not exaggerating

  • @osubuckeyes14 Much better driver than his results show, but he's won the 500 ^^

  • @osubuckeyes14 no thats steve park.

  • He doesn't suck. He's one of the better drivers in Nascar, he just has a ton of bad luck.

  • thats probably the only time i've ever seen the #40 coors light car do a burnout!!

  • The 40 team had their stuff together that year. Stewart lucked into the championship cus I think Sterling had it wrapped up before Kansas. Anyone know if the 40 DID win the owners championship?

  • Jamie has had the worst luck out of all the drivers in nascar today. 2 time he sould have been in the chase but has had too much bad luck.

look at the past chases he has had some of the most consistant finishes

roush needs to work with the teams that have potental now he has done good with carl, biff and mat now work on the 26 and 6 as both COULD make the chase

  • he does, he has had so many good cars get wrecked, and would be a top star if he had a little luck

  • i love those dodge´s, now dodge is on crisis but i love it yet, (i´m montoya fan, but i preffer dodge´s than chevy´s.

    I don´t like toyota.

  • wasn't this in 01

  • Sterling Marlin won this race in 2001 =D

  • @champ75kart

    says right there- 2002

  • If Jamie could get into a half decent car he'd probably win. No disrespect to Roush, but he's slacked off since Matt's championship and Kurt's championship..

  • bakinginheat9201,

i dont think it's the car, i think it's jamie's incredibly bad luck.

  • mcmurrray does good burnouts

  • ya about that in my book: Nascar's Next Generation, it state that Jamie did his burnout in fourth gear. He said he wanted to famous for doing burnouts.

  • I loveee Jamie McMurray <33

  • jamie is having bad luck now

  • I really like Jamie, and I thought he'd have a great career after this race but it seems even in a Roush car, he's struggling to even make the top-20. :(

  • it's weird, he was 26 in his first ever win and he drives the 26 car now

  • Well no because Roush chose the number for him...

  • forget it

  • nascarwweclubpenguin. jamie didnt pick his number. roush has owned the 26 number ever since johnny benson raced in the #26 cheerios car. why do u have to be a fuckin prick to TGTAP? it is ironic that he was 26 years old when he won his first race and now he's number 26. use YOUR fucking brain

  • wouldnt it be cool to see someone win in the first career start?

  • thad be so sweet but the odds r so against everyone now a days......kinda suxs

  • i thought jamie was going to be so good 6 years later 1 win

  • Don't worry they have gotten better on teh 26 hes got 3 years left on his contract noway hes out at Roush my prediction is that he makes the chase next year and wins 2 races

  • haha that's my guy! Jamie rocks

  • he is my fave driver as well.

  • Awesome man! You rock.

  • =]

    you rock too

  • that is awsome.........he has amazing talent! I just love him :)

  • That was my b-day he rocks go mcmurray

  • Greatest moment in NASCAR history!

  • All right, i see every winner celebrating their victories and it's amazing.. i just want to feel it in Daytona, Tallageda or winning the champhionship. Even more winning the Indianapolis 500 IRL.

  • Thank you for putting that on here. I have wanted to see Jamie's first win for so long.

  • His Daytona is his best even tough it was his 2nd. He could have won Sonoma but ran out of gas. He should have been in the Chase instead of Bowyer but he got bad luck after Daytona

  • What is wrong with Bowyer in the chase? Bowyer earned it, Jamie did not.

  • I have the same question, what's wrong with Bowyer in the chase?

  • lol Bowyer finished 3rd in the Chase. Jamie would have finished 12th lol

  • J-Mac My man! Great driver and hope he does good at Kansas this week.

  • I like this video alot!!

  • wow what a great driver, barely wins the pepsi 400 after what? 4 years?

  • 5 years :P

  • took him a while to get his 2nd win. but hes cool anyways

  • I saw that that race on TV. Jcmurray rules!

  • In the Pepsi 400 last night, McMurray won in a photo-finish with Kyle Busch.

  • and do you know what the margin was?

    .005

  • he pwned kyle bush today , that kids got alot of talent

  • Congarts on his win tonite

  • i get chills everytime i see it....i fucking love Jamie<3

  • LOL, I went to this race, in that wreck with Kevin Harvick in it, Ward Burton stopped right in front of where I sat. Thanks for Posting.

  • wow!

if he was a part time driver, hes the best part-time drive lol

  • I ♥ Jamie! I hope he wins at Pocono!

  • ya, it would be neat to FINALLY see him get back to victory lane, but im afraid he is a "one win wonder" lol

  • Jamie had a tough first year at Roush, but it seems like he finally has some chemistry with his team. I predict him to break through and get a win or two this season. Goodluck 26 team!

  • exactly. McMurray is an awesome driver, especially in the plate races. But he doesnt get credit becuae everytime he has a good race, he gets wrecked. McMurray will make the chase this year, quote me on that one. I told everyone he was going to make the chase during speedweeks testing in january, but nobody believed me. he's 12th in points now, so look whos laughing now.

  • 13th in points actually....

  • And with a win =]. Congrats McMurray on winning the 2007 Pepsi 400! Been a long time coming.

  • we are, dumbass

  • nice prediction, he won today! Yay! I'm a huge Roush fan, Carl's my fav, Jamie's not far behind. They've both won in the past month, and now Jamie's in 13th, 1 spot out of the chase!

  • I so meant to say soon and not soong. der.

  • Can't friggin believe it. Great driver!! He'll be back in Victory Lane soong.

  • If Sterling would not have got injured he proabably would have won the championship that year

  • im a gordon fan so i hate it when someone besides gordon takes the checkers but ive been wanting to see jamie back in vitory lane for a long time i wont be surprised if he wins dega this weekend

  • What an awesome night. =] He's pretty freakin amazing.

  • earliest winner in history.that was an amazing race

    thanks for postin

  • thanx for postin that, ive been lookin all over for footage of his win

  • I get goosebumps just watching that. I can't wait to see Jamie back in victory lane this year!!!

  • Yeah Sooner or later at maybe at The 1.5 Mile tracks like Charlotte, Atlanta, Kansas, Chicago or even maybe Darlington. He'll break-thru and win
