  • I would add that after that second step of putting in the foam pads above the side doors...you take them right out till after you get the top secured in the forward windscreen track, especially if you are doing this as a one man operation in the wind. Those foamy thingies fly away pretty quick. Once the top is draped over them they stay put but until then you are fighting a losing battle.

  • I just recently bought this frameless top. The zipper that connects the rear window the back driver side window came apart on the initial install. Now they are giving me the run around about replacing it. All I want is the two windows, not the whole damn top.

  • just put my best top on did not even need to watch the video but this really help it was easy all i did was fallow the directions and the top fits nice it took 10 minutes to get it on by myself but it looks better then the old factory one

  • I forgot to mention that my spouse and I have both been drenched often when getting into the car after a rain. If your window is open you are going to get a SOAKING as soon as the car starts moving. They need to fix that one.

  • @tubestersuester That happens with any soft top I have encountered xD

  • I wish this came with the top! I bought my frameless top in The Spring. I put everything on but the rear window. My mileage improved dramatically. I used to burn 1/4 of a tank going from Eastham, Ma to Provincetown, Ma. Now the needle barely moves. My boxy car is now more aerodynamic. However, my rear window zipper snapped right off when we tried to zip it up. There is at least a 4 inch gap. That might have been avoided with this video.

  • thanks a lot rich. i'm gonna be buying one of these soon. i was wondering how they do with rain and snow? my factory soft top leaks pretty bad when it rains and the zipper on the rear window doesn't work. also, if i wanted to go topless and i took it off, is it possible to fold it up with the windows in it and put it in the back?

  • @omgwtfbbqgtfo Regarding using it in the rain or snow: All tops will leak with excessive amounts of rain or snow. However, you can use a seam sealer from an RV or Marine shop to seal your top and provide better protection. For the second part of your question, we contacted the folks over at Rampage and here's what they said: "I would not recommend folding the whole top with the windows inside the top. It would be a lot better to roll the top up and then store in the back. I hope this helps!

  • @autoshepherd thanks, it does help a lot. i'm still gonna buy one, probably next week. my stock top from 04 leaks when it rains and it's ruining my carpet and i'm afraid its going to cause my floor to start rusting. plus they just look cooler haha. and i like the idea of having a bikini that can be converted back to a full top... and that it can be removed completely. i can't wait to get it!!

  • thank you so much helped alot
