NO, he was a seat fighter in zaraki's squad and he was trained by the bounto to become stronger.that's what i think :)

@ageofgreece ...ichinose maki was in the 11th squad when zaraki killed the captain and took the seat as captain of squad 11... he hated zaraki for it so he left and was saved from some hollows by the bounto when he left soul society...he then went loyal to kariya jin and the bounto...lesson over for the day 8P
