@topperheartramada We also need a movie of Hamas firing rockets into evil neighborhoods and blowing up carbombs in evil marketplaces filled with evil day labourers. Also the good of decapitating and terrorism on civilians, and how bad the Israelis are for shooting back
@MetalSights Actually I'd like to see a film made about how Obama after years of hatd work finally earned the Nobel peace prize. I want to see this one man's titanic struggle and self-sacrifice in a 3 hour film, preferably directed by Oliver Stone.
Good evening, my fellow Americans. I can't even begin to describe how luck you are to have me as President. I am very smart just listen to me talk, have you ever heard someone as smart as me? Andrew Klaven is just pissed because none of the movies based on his books or writings were any good. True Crime, Don't Say a Word, One Missed Call, are all examples of Klaven's movies that nobody seemed to like. In fact, True Crime bombed at the box office, and One Missed Call was rated the worst movie of 2008.

@henrycate In what way have they gone down hill? It's a gross simplification from Klaven who is either pandering or can't mentally process what has happened over the past 73 years.
In a better world, filmmakers would be falling all over themselves to tell Santoro's story. In a better world, newspapers would put it a little closer to the front.
But the media can't wait to tell us how great Che Guevera was...
I am sad to have to live in this time, when evil is worshipped and good is vilified.
Though, the Left would undoubtedly have everyone involved with the making of that film accused of racism. After all, according to the Left, only Christians engage in violent acts.
You could add the movie about the religious organizations smuggling people out of North Korea into freedom in South Korea. They had to get past the Chinese military. They made terrible sacrifices and often starved. Yes it was an arduous journey. Oh, that movie was never made. No. We can't have Kim Jong-Il as a bad guy. He isn't Republican or Caucasian.
Yeah - but they made the fascists 'right wing' - their perception of right wing that is. Even though it closely mirrored Nazism and Communism - both socialist tyrannies.
i did like hurt locker, not because if its fictionalized account of 'real' war, i liked it because the guy went back to iraq to do his duty, even though it was uncalled for. Thats patriotism.
@ vercygentix: My Father did the same thing. He volunteered to go to Iraq with his cadets at the age of 59. He'd already fought in Vietnam and the Gulf War.
Excellent! what gets me is, why are the studios funding these anti-American turkeys? I can understand liberal Hollywood producers putting their politics before box office, but why aren't shareholders complaining about the flops?
I also missed the film condemning the actions of the Weather Underground for their destruction and plans for mass genocide of the American public. Obama's friend William Ayers deftly played by Matt Damon, along with a fictional scene of their meeting when little Barry Seotoro was a mere boy of 8 years. It had the eerie realisim of "Helter Skelter."
Those Klavan award statues had me cracking up. Had to read that teleprompter bit.
Bonus: Turn on the closed captions, some of its misinterpretations are pretty hilarious "isn't the real oscars weakens people that would you stop a repeat bladder" LOL

Oh yes, Tom hanks dropped quite a few notches to me as well. He said basically our war with Japan was because we wanted to annihilate each other because, we're different....
I think he forgot about Pearl Harbor...I think he also forgot that we showered Japan with leaflets warning of incoming destruction before we nuked them.
I think he forgot that we nuked only a couple cities, not the whole country-which is what we would have done if our goal was erradication.
@VegasBilgeRat - while I agree with your sentiments, I feel it's important to represent history accurately.
In point of fact, we only had two atom bombs, plus the one detonated during the Trinity test at Alalmagordo.
It would have been several months before we could refine enough fissionable material to produce another bomb, and we were bluffing when we said we would continue atom-bombing cities until Japan surrendered.
@Mr. Klavan - He might be expensive, but Whittle is worth the money. :)
@VegasBilgeRat For the thousandth time. As morbidly ironic this may sound, we bomb naga and hiroshima as a LAST result before a mainland invasion, Operation Downfall. The land invasion that we had scheduled and were rehersing for would of cost many MANY more Japanese lives, estimates of 10 million depending on civilian resistance, and up to 1 million American lives. Does everyone forget WHY we bombed them? Liberals paint it as "we just wanted to see what we could do", yeah thats it.
@VegasBilgeRat I'm not sticking up for Hanks, although I enjoy his movies. But the US had been bombing the crap out of every major city in Japan for a while before the nukes dropped. In fact, one night alone, US firebobmbs killed 100,000 civilians in Tokyo. Robert McNimara ponderd why we even needed the nukes when Lemay (Commander of US air forces) was already burning up Japan. The nukes were just the cherries on top of a sundae of death and destruction in Japan. Interesting to know.

The nukes were just the cherries on top of a sundae of death and destruction in Japan. They actualy "saved" Hiroshima and Nagisaki for the nukes.
@VegasBilgeRat If we had really wanted to kill all the Japanese people during WWII, we would have invaded the country and watched them all commit suicide or mindlessly rush our troops with wooden "guns" and "swords", straight into machine gun nests. Nuking Japan actually saved lives in the long run by shocking the Japanese into surrender, and thank God. As a fan of Anime and Manga, I wouldn't want a world without Japan.
@Wiytithst - if one were to believe the MSM, the Tea Parties consisted of 30-40 pissed off racist, Christian, gun owners, who are on the payroll of the GOP and corporate interests.
But how about that "coffee party"!!
Talk about a "grassroots" "movement" fostered by "millions" of "unaffiliated" "patriots" who are "thinking out of the box"!!
I haven't seen Aviator yet, but it was due to the real bad script and the same concept being using in District 9 and other "Humans are bad" films. However, i do get the part that there is such a thing as American Imperialism and the "Hurt Locker" is another great movie telling the audiences, was it worth it sending thousands of troops to their ultimate deaths regardless if it was either: Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr. or even Obama for that matter.
The fact that you could watch this video which gives several truthful examples of real-life events that weren't made into films (and likely never will be) and call it "fantasy" speaks volumes.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The "events" in this video were presented very subjective to the point i would call them the fantasy of the author. But it doesn't matter. The point I made is that this video is just whining. Nobody wants to watch a movie about executive decisions behind the fucking surge. Stop crying about it.
Its sad to see such cynicism against the USA's No. 1 cultural export. But sattire is sattire and I love it all the same, even if I don't believe in the context.
I hate to say it, no wait, no I don't hate to say it, Joe McCarthy was right. Hollywood was filled, is filled, with left wing social communists. People like Sean Penn are the norm there. To hell with them. I'd love to see them all purged ala Stalin style.
@ LordAtrocities -- Hollyweird is not the only land of fruits and nuts. Washington Dork Central is just brimming with the same left wing social communists. The trouble is, people can't see past the traditional labels of "Democrat" and "Republican" to figure out that the overwhelming majority of them are all Commie rats taking this once-great ship down faster than the RMS Titanic.
Ain't it? If these fools hate our country so much and think it's the source of all evil, why don't they leave? They, unlike most regular people, have the resources and ability to live anywhere they want.
But they stay here because they make money. They sicken me. I wish we could deport them somewhere.
They stay here because they know that no other country in the world would put up with their treason like America does. They stay here, spouting off about how evil America is because they know that real Americans who believe in something greater than themselves will lay down their lives to support those Hollywood Nancy boys freedom of speech. They stay here because they are, as sad as it is, American's too. They stay here because they know anywhere else they'd be put to death.
YES: The mere sight of George Clooney makes me vomit in my mouth. He's a UN stooge, he should move to Gabon with Kofi and they can have free health care, free food and free everything.
Too bad he didn't mention that "The Hurt Locker" beat out "Avatar". That was a great moment at the Oscars, not only because it was a great film, but because Cameron's magnum opus of
3D pro-Gore anti-US Military crap lost to his ex-wife.
the blind side is a good movie.. too bad it's already being shot down by the PC-MC crowd.. apparently you can't help disadvantaged teenagers of a different race if you're white, christian, republican -- that would be racist!!! nyenyenyenyenye
Give it a decade, and all of those movies will be made. By Andrew Klavan. Sean Penn will have rectal cancer by then, and Barbara Streisand will be doing commercials for Depends.
@ ThePenWolf: Yeah, but he's sure to spot it in its earliest stages because he's always digging around back there and smelling his fingers. That's why he's always got that shitty look on his face.
@haypenny That presumes he had the sense to know something amiss. Maybe it's a good presumption, but the guy doesn't come off that bright to me. I don't know.
I think we need a film about Hamas bravely fighting the evil Israelis.

I can think of a few movies which have conservative leans to them:
Demolition Man (Shows the kind of "Utopian" dictatorship the left would seek to turn America into)
Team America: World Police
Batman Begins (Can be seen as an indictment of the effects of liberalism on our justice system, as liberal mercy enables crime to thrive)
300 (Theme that evil and tyranny should be actively combated is definitely a conservative sentiment, hence why liberals hated this movie).
Adamguy2003 1 year ago

@VegasBilgeRat I'm not sticking up for Hanks. They actualy "saved" Hiroshima and Nagisaki for the nukes.
vylet271 7 months ago
@VegasBilgeRat
He also forgot our oil embargo of Japan BEFORE Pearl Harbor. Why do you think they attacked anyway? They needed to control their own shipping.
ScarletArchon 3 months ago
@VegasBilgeRat If we had really wanted to kill all the Japanese people during WWII, we would have invaded the country and watched them all commit suicide or mindlessly rush our troops with wooden "guns" and "swords", straight into machine gun nests. Nuking Japan actually saved lives in the long run by shocking the Japanese into surrender, and thank God. As a fan of Anime and Manga, I wouldn't want a world without Japan.

I had not either!

I am truly sick of the LIbs and the Neocons.
b07rivera 1 year ago
@b07rivera
"there is such a thing as American Imperialism"
Its been said before, but it deserves saying again, if America is Imperialistic, Why have we not taken over Canada?
And, if you think we have in a socio-economic fashion, Why are we imitating their medical system.
mssnrykd 1 year ago 2
So much whining. If people want to pay to see these movies then make them yourselves. Don't blame hollywood for not making movies of your fantasies.
dinex2 1 year ago
@dinex2
That's part of the problem - in the eyes of people like you, the truth is a "fantasy" and fantasies are the truth.
Yesica1993 1 year ago
What a stupid accusation based on nothing. You don't know where I stand on anything.
dinex2 1 year ago
The fact that you could watch this video which gives several truthful examples of real-life events that weren't made into films (and likely never will be) and call it "fantasy" speaks volumes.
Yesica1993 1 year ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
The "events" in this video were presented very subjective to the point i would call them the fantasy of the author. But it doesn't matter. The point I made is that this video is just whining. Nobody wants to watch a movie about executive decisions behind the fucking surge. Stop crying about it.
dinex2 1 year ago
Which of the points he mentioned were fantasy?
The only one whining and crying is you, because you know this video has a point.

LordAtrocities 1 year ago 26
@ LordAtrocities -- Hollyweird is not the only land of fruits and nuts. Washington Dork Central is just brimming with the same left wing social communists. The trouble is, people can't see past the traditional labels of "Democrat" and "Republican" to figure out that the overwhelming majority of them are all Commie rats taking this once-great ship down faster than the RMS Titanic.
sensfaninohio 1 year ago 2
Ain't it? If these fools hate our country so much and think it's the source of all evil, why don't they leave? They, unlike most regular people, have the resources and ability to live anywhere they want.
But they stay here because they make money. They sicken me. I wish we could deport them somewhere.
Yesica1993 1 year ago 3
@Yesica1993
LordAtrocities 1 year ago 3
@LordAtrocities
Amen to that! I couldn't have said it better.
