I'm glad you don't live next to me.... I'd have to fight you for that pretty lady at your side. ;)

I hope you make a million dollars from your books! You are a great teacher!

  • Messed up the words a little.. "going to Missouri, on through St. Louis"

  • Love this....

  • The most entertaining version I have ever heard of Route 66. Congratulations to both of you-

  • Glen and Linda -- Terrific duet. Glen are you playing LowGCEA or LowDGBE on that Bari? You should have some more videos with Linda -- she sings wonderfully jazzy!

    Jeff / Humble Baritonics.

  • That was great Glen and fantastic vocals Linda! Had to check to see if that was just a uke ............ I could hear a big band swingin' in my head! Sometimes less is more ain't it! Super job! Simon (Scotland)

  • Nice job you two!

  • Nice, Glen.

Ya know, Jeff West had asked me what I liked best about taking private lessons from you. I told him I was MOST amazed by how you had the trained ear to listen to a song and in a flash you offered an alternative and a better sounding chord. "How does he do that?"

Glen, your book offers quite a few jazz progressions. What is your thought process when you decide which progression goes with which song?

It's really about being familiar with the jazz progressions, patterns and chords so you can recognize where one might go. Or you can have a few choices to experiment with. Experience with experimenting a lot eventually makes choices easier. I guess studying privately or in a class is an effort to speed up the experience process and get wiser faster.

  • Super Awsome!!!
