I saw this film this afternoon. I just can say that there are good reasons for what it's said in this scene, and also the way the western girl is that way. You'll see.

@leppig Ukrainians are not western LOL.. I'm pretty sure Lebanese girls in Beirut have the same menatlity, come to a rural area in eastern europe and it will be the same as in Lebanon.. estern europeans =/ western... not even a bit

this point of view doesnt belong to islam and as a muslim let me say that i am shoked to see that vision of bride. the cliché of western girl is also annoying and participates in opposing always west and east . we are closer than we pretend and much more in our tough times : crisis, poverty unite mankind.
@Procer86 not every muslim guy in every movie is trying to portray all muslims in the arab world. this is a fictional character meant to represent a certain type of man and how the way he views his religion and allows it to affect his character and way of life, not how his religion is meant to affect him or how islam in particular is supposed to be. dont start criticizing things because you decided to take one example and generalize. and for the record, your english kind of sucks too.
