if you fail to open the handcuffs with a can you can always use a paperclip which is quite easy and will free you, at least, under 20 sec.

i figuered out the barrel bike lock, you just turn the numbers while pulling it apart, you can usually feel a click when each number is right. expensive barrel locks are designed not to give away the number like this
