Hand webs are extremely prone to rejection unless you never moved your hand.

There is a nerve in there too which if hit can leave your hand paralyzed.

I have got it done myself, done it yesterday after researching. I got a 8mm long curved barbell in at 1.6mm thick.

I got my web done on nov 18'th. it was my first piercing and I honestly can't think of anything else I would rather have done. It's deff a unique one too! I always get comments about it and most people are like 'OMG! Didn't that hurt? It looks like it would hurt right there!' lol, it's SUCH an easy piercing! I <3 it mucho!

Don't do it yourself.. get it done proffessionally. Use a ring in it for the first couple months so it heals a bit and the swelling goes away then you should be able to switch it out for an eyebrow bar. The swelling is pretty bad if you hit it on shit.. it sucks. if you don't start with a ring you're asking for trouble durring the swelling.

Oh, and get a curved bar no matter fwhaaaat! Straight bars are a no no w/ piercings that are going to move around alot.

You want to use a ring first so that when your web swells, it doesn't have the risk of swallowing the balls on either side of the bar. If that happens, you would most likely need surgery to get it out or it would go straight to a staph infection.. no bueno.

If you're dead set on using a bar rather than a ring, make sure to get one long enough that when your web swells, there will be room for it to. After the swelling, put whatever you want in =]

It really swells up so get a bar at least as long as your pinky is thick :) I'm serious. And you gotta be able to move it so get it as big as you can.

i don't think there's any danger in this piercing, if you light through your handweb u can see that it's just flesh, nothing more, and that should'nt be hard for a piercer to do this correctly.

And if you're so afraid of it to hurt, you shouldnt be taking it at all. Getting a thick needle through a part of your body will ofc hurt you.

If anyone tells you that it hurts that much they either didn't get it done right or are just talking shit. It's the only piercing I have so I can't compare it to what other ones feel like, but it didn't hurt much.
