  • Fire...Straight Fire

  • r is iconic/ lips move bionic/ lyrical flow aim to heal like a narcotic.

  • I don't agree with Rakim's beliefs, but every time I hear rhymes, man, I just don't want it to end. I wish he put out more material more often. And I got so much respect for br 'cause he rarely curses on a song.

  • @cjewelz yeah same his being hypnotised by these satans, nd its funny that he calls himself rakim allah? while in another song he condridict himself just dont make no sens

  • @tqsmoke: I hear you. But a minor correction: Rakim never "was", Rakim always IS - he IS THE GREATEST! But I feel what you're saying. This brother is just from another planet!

  • Really enjoyed that, grew up listening to that whole era as a kid and Rakim was by far the greatest!

  • I have never heard a bad thing about Rakim - ever! His peers hail him as "God MC", brothers like Nas, Eric Sermon, GZA name him as the most high-reaching, influencial and lyrically limber MC to bless a mic! And I don't blame them! Joints like Waiting for the World To end, The 18th Letter, evn his collaboration with cats in Germany, etc, is impeccably on-point! Rakim doesn't need hooks in his material, and when he kicks it with a live band it's fire! Imagine: Rakim and The Roots! That'd be dope!

  • funny thing is Rakim look like he never aged....like he look just like he did on the Paid in Full album

  • @beezilla87 Same wit Nas.

  • @beezilla87 Black dudes don't age like a white dude

  • I think my dream supergroup would be -

Rakim, Nas, Jay Z, Notorious BIG, Tupac and DJ Premier.

Fuck me, NY's finest on one song would be so sick.

  • The R. A to The K. I. M Lol Ra is the man!! My little brother was named Rakim lol thanks to my Dad being a Rakim Fanatic =)

  • fuc tha swagga RA got that steez charles diccin fo tha ass

  • Ra cooler than a fan.

  • @itzFritZzZ: Man, I love Pac, for real - always have. But Rakim? Lyrically this brother cannot be eclipsed. Remember: 2 Pac is quoted as saying "Rakim is theTop Dog in Hip-Hop" - and you needn't look any further than joints like The 18th Letter, Musical Massacre, etc. This cat is New York's finest, and even universally, nobody can spit fire like the God. Hidden messages? Rakim's signature is hiddden metaphores, punchlines, etc. Passion for Pac is all good, but Ra has skilzz like no other.

  • @MrJazzHOP Pac also said he take any rappers style including Rakim flip there style sicker and killem with it.. everyone gots there own opinion i know lyrics subliminals and Pac hid shit in his Rhymes he was deep and many of his verses just go over peoples heads but i catch that shit and i think when he was alive he was the best..

  • @itzFritZzZ naw..... i dont care what he said.... Pac wasnt ever on Rakims level......specially not lyrically....... only thing he could claim is popularity.....

  • @MrJazzHOP I'm 44 & grew up in TEXAS on all the east coast legendary artist & I totally agree with you with about Rakim. I love tupac's music, but he's definitely not a lyricist. Tupac's persona & thug life image is what so many cats are caught up on. I live in cali now, since 88 & I've see the infatuation with pac's lifestyle. Rakim will methodically butcher Any mainstream Pussy today who even imagines picking up a mic. Hey brah youtube this cat name K-Rino from h-town. You want a lyricist?

  • yes sir no him.....and his fam..

  • Yall be wrong, DJ Kool Herc was the godfather of hip/hop - rakim is just the prince you visit when you come to the kingdom of hip/hop

  • HIS SWAGGER IS NATURAL HE IS WAS THE ONLY LYRICIST THAT COULD STAND STILL FOR A HALF HOUR AN U STILL LOVED HIS PERFORMANCE

  • THE GODFATHER OF HIP HOP....!!!

  • @sitone2011 so tru the godfather not the god of hip hop thats 2pac rip

  • @RIPPAC25 PAC THE GOD FATHER OF RAP!!!!!!! THATS INSANE 2PAC WAS NOT THE GREATSEST LYRICAL MC BUT HIS OVERALL SHOWMANSHIP AN NARRATIVE STORY TELLING GOT HIM OVER ,ANYBODY THAT CAMEOUT WIT DIGITAL UNDERGROUND CANT BE THE GODFATHER ITS 2 LATE IN RAPS HISTORY

  • Forget all the debate talk. I am just sitting here loving the fact that I can see a LEGEND who was a MAJOR part of this thing we all know and love...Hip Hop.I remember when the first single dropped.

  • Next point..Rakim influenced a generation..this includes Nas..Tupac..Biggie and many more. You say all he talks about is rapping...he talked about bling bling before it was in fashion. He dropped a song called Mahogany that blows LL cool J's song I need love out the water. Rakim's lines have been quoted time and time again..and guess what..the same rappers you're talking about have quoted him several times. We all know Tupac is talented..but we also know Tupac was not a lyricist...it's a known

  • @douens187 actually Tupac was the best lyricist u need to listen again.. pac was the only saying the real shit u need to hear get off all eyez on me and look at Pac writing hiddin messages and what he was tryin to tell u about the system u live in.. if u believe then u can achieve just look at me

  • @itzFritZzZ Lyricist doesn't mean saying real shit. It's how you flip your words and Pac wasn't a good lyricist.

  • @HipHop226 yo i kno what a fuckin lyricist is fool i listen 2 the best only and am a writer myself i kno me sum fuckn wordplay and Pac was def. dope as hell.. alive today DOOM is the best everyone can eat his fecal matter behind him u got Nas Raekwon EMinem Ghostface Pharoah Monch they the best alive But Pac during his time could kill any rapper including Biggie like he did w/ hit em up, i heard every version of who shot ya and long kiss.. Pac was a lyricist and he was better than most even 2day

  • @itzFritZzZ Hit Em Up was mad weak b

  • @HipHop226 hahaha yea well on the west coast Pac was def. considered a lyricist, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and i heard Pac clearly state in a video while walking smokin blunts and freestyling he simply said they were great but time has passed and he's in his prime where they once were and would kill them at their own style lyrically.. go listen 2 other Pac records before or after all eyes on me u will see y got PAc all fucked up, we was the greatest lyricist poet 2 do rap music..

  • @itzFritZzZ On the west coast? Crooked I is better lyricaly than Pac, Pac is an overrall better MC. And I have most of Pac albums. I've seen the interview too but it doesn't matter what time he's in he can't kill Rakim. Pac was a greatsongwriter and poet but he was an average rapper

  • @HipHop226 i will take that answer but to true Pac fan's we understand his real message and read between lines, Crooked I to sum mite be better rapper talking bout bullshit he aint even really doing, Pac was best at putting fake fags on blast who are misleading the youth into killing themselves and each other.. u r right Pac wasn't a rapper and shouldn't be compared to most these wak rap artists, Rakim is Legend, and Pac was a Prophet. Pac was diff. didnt focus on wordplay so i c what u saying..

  • @itzFritZzZ I feel what you saying tho b

  • Wow..the dialogue continues..I like. I'm gonna address a few things...I'm not naming names of folks comments either...if you call 80's hip hop stupid..then everything you know as hip hop is stupid...if it wasn't for them Em wouldn't be getting awards..Jay wouldn't be negotiating business deals...lil Wayne wouldn't be driving a 1.5 million dollar car. Nas wouldn't have ONE of the most influential albums of all time in hip hop. If 80's hip hop was stupid there will be no Mary J Blige...So think a

  • LOL - slam it on the ground and make sure it's broke. and be sure to dance with the speaker 'til you hear it blow, then put on the headphone, cuz here it go.

  • Ok...let's get it straight Rakim influenced a generation of MCs and even rappers. Nas would be one of them. It's only right for the student to surpass the teacher..it's called growth. But you cannot deny the influence. Oh yes Kool G is hot..no doubt. BUT he has not influenced a generation SO much as Rakim.

  • The god emce right there!!

  • THATS FIRE... CHECK THIS OUT TO IF U LOVE REAL MUSIC youtube.com/watch?v=57-cMC0YT0k&feature=mh_lolz&list=LL-5_p53lyLsG-fhWAf5vMew

  • Rakim can still get it. idc if he old enough to be my daddy. my momma gotta thing for him since b4 i was born. we might have to scrap over this dude. LMAO!!! (jokes. i wldnt fight my mom) But Rakim is def. my type.

  • this what the rap game is missing which is real hiphop thumbs up

Some of the niggas yall think are heroes are zeros.

You figure that out with maturity.

  • Timeless, so age don't count in the booth, when your flow stays submerged in the fountain of youth ~ Rakim Classic

  • GEE OH DEE

  • ATTENTION ARE YOU THE GREATEST , RAPPER , SINGER, DANCER, MUSICIAN , BEATMAKER IF SO MAKE ME A FRIEND ON FACEBOOK JAVON HUNT

  • RAkim and Eric b was the combination.

  • If it wasnt for RAKIM, Nas's illmactic wouldnt have gotten don, it was RAKIM who gave Nas studio time to get his album done, Nas is in college, RAKIM IS DA PROFESSOR !!! ALLAH AKBAR

  • @JonesRudolph I know all of that, I was just saying that Rakim and Dj Premier is the perfect combination.

  • Rakim Needs DJ Premier

  • @JonesRudolph Tru dat, when Eric B. fell off i was estactic that he got with Premo, they would and do make a good team, just wish Guru woulda been here too, it woulda been great to have ALL THREE of them. ONE

  • Empirical, transcendental, straight-off the dome DOPE-MATIC...Rakim is GOD; he's the zenith, the peak, the high-arching lyricist. Peerless delivery, Ra's style makes any comparison to Nas a moot point: Nas does not have the flow, the inner-eye philosophical stamina to out-verse the R on even his most inspiring day. Moreover, Rakim makes it sound effortless; he's street-wise, strand-up in every way. There's no bigger thief than a bad rap, and whatever Rakim touches is solid gold. Flow Forever

  • RAKIM IS G0D !!!

  • Kane can flow a little better but Rakim is no doubt the baddest jokah that blessed the mic.

  • Best lyricist ever!!!!!!

  • I copped the 7th Seal. Hate to say it, but I thought it was wack. Ra is THE Greatest EMCEE I've ever heard, but he coulda kept that to himself

  • Rakim 4ever!!

  • Rakim is no joke. He used to let the mike smoke, and now he slams it on the ground and makes sure it broke.

  • Nas hes the second best to rakim. His album "Gods Son" Gives respect to the "God MC"

  • put him in one word only Legend... New York, hip hop

  • For the people who are not mentally sharp enough to judge lyrical greatness, here is a simplified method you can employ. Observe how often a rapper's voice is sampled for a hook, or how often he is bitten or how often people use an idea of his to spin off a new rhyme. For example Nas said, "sleeping is the cousin of death" and that spawned a gazillion spin off rhymes. That will tell you how much that rapper influenced a culture and how great he is.

  • Let's not forget something else about Eric B and Rakim...they were the FIRST rap group to sign a MILLION dollar record deal..when it was unheard of for that genre of music and that time and age for a new group. This openend up doors for your MC Hammers..Jay Z's...and so on who inked multi million dollar deals.

  • anyone who thinks rakim isn't god mc probably cant interpret his words. like cormega said, if you can't understand what he is saying then you're probably turned off by his music. diverting you to other rappers such as nas, no disrespect to him, who spell out every word for you thus making it easier to understand his rhymes. where rakim would say "im the arsenal, i got artillery lyrics of ammo" others would say "i spit hot shit" or something along those lines. and thats not even ra being complex

  • rakim changed the rap game totally. the greatest and most illest lyricist to ever rip the mic. rakim brought a whole new flava to rap back in the day. you neva knew what this cat would say. he definitely revolutionize the game. "i aint no joke" and he was rite bcuz this cat was no joke.

  • Rakim is the truth !!

  • T.....HE B...E...S...T..... EVER!!!! PERIOD

  • The Greatest!?

  • hows that seventh seal

  • hows that seventh seal anyone?

  • @silentsteve63 ..HOTNESS

  • A GOD MC is an MC that not only influences a genre but they influence a generation. They are Hip Hop's elite..Rakim's influence has been woven into Tupac, who is a GOD MC for his generation...Bun B who is a GOD MC for the undergournd rappers..Jay Z, who is a GOD MC for his influence as a businessman...KRS ONE who is a GOD MC for teaching all generations and coasts.

  • Heres a co winkie dink for you.Rakim and Nas both have daughters named Destiny haha funny. Two God MCs with princess daughters of the same exact names.

  • @60microphonemajesty two god mcs? stop the blasphemy he is just a talented person and not a god

  • @unwashedbrains "God mc" is slang for very great lyricist in the Hip Hop world, it has nothing to do with worship.

It's a matter of puttin the stamp on a rapper who's been around with longevity influencing others to take part in the culture as well and Nas and Rakim have certainly done that by inspiring great "MCs" Eminem, Lupe Fiasco and so on.I'm sorry you didn't know it was slang.Oh and by the way, don't bother responding with another unnecessary comment wasting your fucking time.Thank you.

  • @60microphonemajesty w/e brainwashed groupie slang or not that shit aint kool

  • Rakim is one of the only rapper left that respects real Hip-Hop man. He rap's about real stuff what's goin on in the community the world society . Man hat's real stuffs we're talking about . Keep rap Ra

  • Seventh seal does that have to do with the cave of the seven sleepers?

  • a dream joint would be King Sun and Rakim on a track together

  • rah gave birth 2 nas. nas birthed jay.biggie gave his own style life......

  • man dis east coast west coast shit is ova y yall still on dat shit wit all dats goin in in da world and 2pac is tha greastest eva

  • @colypso72...You rode the short bus didn't you? Rakim is "THE" legend in this game. Bow down. EVERY rapper in this game has either credited him as either the one who influenced them to be in this art or influenced their style of rhyme. Even Tupac said that Rakim was an influence. Tupac in turn influenced this generation..so get your facts together. And i dare you to name me a rapper out there that can beast him lyrically. NO ONE...PERIOD...THE GOD MC 4EVA...you clown.

  • @douens187 your right alot of people said rakim was a influrence but tupac said he biggest one was krs-one

  • @douens187 Lil wayne nuff said you ugly inbred

  • @douens187 Big Daddy Kane or Kool G Rap, but BDK and Rakim were friendly with each other(Rakim simply monitored Kool's stuff). Rakim said he thought BDK was beefing with him but it wasn't true, but the song(I think it's Let the Rhythm hit them) was edited and released.

  • @douens187 Yeah, there's really no getting around it. What douens is talking about isn't even really opinion. Rakim is one of the best. Hip hop people know this. I don't know if there is really a best MC ever, but if you talk about influential MC's, he's one of those. A major pillar in hip hop history and is still doing it. I saw the brother when I was in college at Alabama A and M University at some kind of event and I can say from first hand experience that this cat is high power.

  • @douens187 nas

  • @ShookOnes92 NAS beastin Rakim? when Rakim and KRS ONE were droppin rhymes NAS was still in deapers son get ur shit stright

  • @xTheWarlordx just becuase nas is younger than rakim and krs dont mean he cant be better maybe they inspired him you fucking spaz.

  • @ShookOnes92 nas has a better flow and better storytelling, so in my opinion nas is better, but rakim is better lyrically.

  • @TheTrampolineMen no way nas has the flow story telling and espically the lyrics that why hes no 1

  • @ShookOnes92 i agree nas is better than rakim, but you can't really say nas's lyrics is better, that's rakim's thing, lyrics, he has the best lyrics of all the rappers, just listen to "my melody" or "make em clap to this".

  • @douens187 Kool G could get rakim, c'mon

  • @douens187 Youre right other than Em and Nas no one comes close, and they arent even on his level, this cat is REAL..no doubt

  • west coast hip hop in my opinion...is done

  • East coast is underrated. West coast is overrated.

  • I got nothing but respect for Rakim he is grounded all the jay z squad all funny ass dudes I wouldn't be to thrilled to meet other than to see them face to face just to see if they really real or just the fake ass fucks they have become dick heads in other words

  • why do new york niggas feel that they own hip hop and they has the right to decide whats hot or not with everybody because it started in new york! . hell football started in the midwest but does that give the chicago bears, greenbay packers, detroit lions and minnesota vikings rights to decide what the other teams should be doing HELL NO! so to new york please stop with the "ARROGANCE" because hip hop is not new york and you niggas been at the bottom now from the last 20 years since L.A. TOOK IT

  • rakim need to sit the fuck down somewhere hes no creativity. the same damn style from 1989 and here it is over 20 years later and the nigga still rap the same....

  • @colypso72 I can't even comprehend how dumb,and retarded you sound.

  • @Ramaine1 bitch please you know what im talking about!

  • @colypso72

1989 rappers and flow are better than 2011 rappers and flow so whats your point?

  • AND FUCK ALL NEW YORK RAPPERS.

  • @colypso72 east coast rappers back in the day shit on west coast rappers. East coast had Nas, Big L, Gang Starr, Biggie, AZ, Big Pun, Wu Tang, DITC, Eric B and Rakim, Mobb Deep, Terror Squad, Jadakiss, O.C., the list goes on. West coast had some rappers, but their was probably like 3 or 4 of them that were actually good. The reason why east coast rappers don't get as much fame as the west coast is because they talked about REAL life, when everybody in the west is looking for who had better beats

  • @poltersol and all of them wack ass mc's you name....kurupt, crooked i, ice cube, game, spice 1, dj quik and d.o.c. will eat them cats alive.......and i dont need to bring TUPAC in this.....

  • you dumb motherfuckers please try not to get the most respected of all times confused with the most greatest of all time....because rakim is not the greatest but he are the most respected rapper of all time. and their are no such thing of favorite mc of all times. "it just a opinions"...just like i feel my mother are the greatest mom in the world and you may think your mom are the greatest. but its o.k. because we are entitle to our own opinion. and im not here to bash rakim. I LOVE HIS MUSIC.

  • @colypso72 wow u really want attention whenever u copy and paste on different videos u just want views of ur own and ur hopeing wishing and praying that a God can do that for u get it togeatehr ...

  • @PhilliesBlaze1 well hell bitch its worked right? aint that what you are doing. giving me ATTENTIONS!!!! you dumb bitch LOL

  • Comment removed

  • @PhilliesBlaze1 you pussy. why you had to send me a personal message? so no one can see that you are still giving me ATTENTION!!!!....AND YES THIS BITCH HAVE SENT ME A LONG MESSAGE AT THAT....WOW! ALL OF THAT ATTENTION FOR ME LOL LOL AND I DIDNT EVEN READ YOUR BULL SHIT COMMENT EITHER HAHA YOU FUCK FACE.

  • @PhilliesBlaze1 BETTER YET FUCK ALL EAST COAST RAPPERS...YALL NIGGA AT THE THE BOTTOM OF THE HIP HOP FOOD CHAIN. SHIT EVEN DIP SET HAD TO GO TO THE WEST COAT TO GET THAT DR DRE PRODUCTIONS. AINT NOBODY FROM THE EAST COAST DOING BIG NUMBERS BUT JAY Z AND THAT IT. NEW YORK ARE DONE YALL NIGGAS ARE TRASH!

  • @colypso72 The west coast wasn't looking for lyrics. The west coast had Dre, Snoop, Cube, and Pac. And i'll be honest, Pac only had a couple of songs that were good. Other than that, I think Pac was overrated. The east coast had the best lyrics. In my opinion, Nas and Big L were the best. The best album in the west was The Chronic. Hands down, one of the greatest albums I have ever heard. But the best album the east coast had was Illmatic. In my opinion, Illmatic was the greatest hip hop album.

  • @poltersol kurupt will rap circle around rakim or anyboby from new york

  • @colypso72 damn, what kind of crack are you smoking on?

  • @colypso72 I don't care that the sales of illmatic didn't get as high as dre and snoops albums, but illmatic didn't have one ok song. Every song on that album was genius. I could honestly, listen to that for the rest of my life if I had too. If you diss Illmatic, then your fucking crazy because that album was lyrically insane. Listen to his lyrics and tell me that he's not good. Nas would rip apart any west coast rapper. And for you to say that east coast rappers are trash, then your just dumb.

  • The ledge is my favorite song ever.

  • his daughter name destiny thats nas daughter name too...

  • CHECKOUT THE NEW VIDEOS COSTUME PARTY AND MY VAMPIRE SUBSCRIBE NOW

  • DAYUM. his lookin old :|

  • @OziiBeats

wtf do u expect he's in his 40's he aint 20 anymore

who gives a fuck rakim will shit on your favorite rapper son

  • @MidCity29Loonatik they're dead. :'(

  • The only avenue that Nas can be better than Rakim is content and thats only because average listeners are blinded by Rakim and where he is coming from is beyond the scope of their imaginations and comprehension.

Rakim is like an advanced math class relative to 2nd grade simple arithmetic. Those who don't get it will probably get bored and fall asleep in class.

But most of the class can get the part where 2+2 = 4 but the majority are filtered when comes to differential equations

  • @cormega100 you could have picked a simpler example :P i did get it btw

  • @cormega100 Rakim doesn't drop any real shit... He just says "Mathematics",Geographics" and "Asiatic" a lot. Nas has more substance, meaning, style... Everything.Ra= Overrated

  • @busymike Dude stop it. ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!! How old are you? Do this Sun, google Rakim lyrics and read them. It reads like Jazz on paper. Intricate, rhythmatic and complex. Trust me, I have been listening to hip hop music for 30 years, plus I use to rhyme, I know a great MC when I hear one.

  • @Justice777Allah I have done that. In fact, I do it with every artist. Thats how I know Rakim is a lot less then people say he is. I mean, back in the days when he came out I could see why he was held so high (most of the rappers of that era were stupid) but those days are over. Rappers have came up and surpassed him. Go listen to Ra's new allbums (18th letter, The Master, the recent one) and listen closely... Its just rapping about nothing and using big words to cover up the lack of substance

  • @busymike That's fatuous (oops sorry for the big word)! Have you ever emceed, ok try rhyming with "rat" then try rhymin with "trigonometry", then tell me which one is harder. So what if he uses big word, he still makes sense. The percentage of difficulty increases when you go multi-syllabic, its like Shaq dunking juxtapose to taking a half court shot (sorry about juxtapose, it means in comparison). And did u seriously ask if i heard the Master? That was a throw away album to escape his contract.

  • @Justice777Allah If you use big words, they should make sense in context of what the song is about. Not some random "Geographic, Asiatic, Mathematic" nonsense... I'm just being real. That's why Ras Kass switched his style up. Go listen to that dudes first CD and he's doing the same shit that Rakim is doing (in a more extreme way). That shit is stupid... Illmatic has big words in it, but the songs make sense... They have actual concepts, they are just rambling and pretending to be smart.

  • @busymike quote "I start to think and then i sink/ into da paper, like I was ink/ when I'm writing, I'm trapped in between the lines/ I escape, when I finish the rhyme". No big words there, and quite possibly the greatest 4 bars ever. He's the creator of cliffhangers, mixed metaphors, esoteric references, internal rhyming & literate imagery. NY Times compared him to Thelonious Monk, do u know who that is? And as for ur reference to old skool emcees as being stupid, that doesnt deserve a comment

  • @busymike ARE you stupid? What were you rapping about back then? That was an asinine comment and you should really research your friggin history of hip hop! If you weren't there then you don't have anything to say on the matter. If that was the case then us listeners were stupid back then too.. SMH

  • @cormega100

rakim only raps about rapping the majority of the times, or talks about how he'll kill rappers in battles, with the exception a few tracks.

  • @RelaxednCaIm Are you serious dude??! See Paid in Full, Mahogany, New York, Rhythm Hit em, Who is God, Juice. The list goes on and on. BTW, Nasty Nas is my favorite rapper, but no one, I mean no one touches Ra. He is your favorite rapper's favorite rapper, Meaning Nas, Pac, Jay, they all pay homage. He is Jordan. He created the moves and styles, you know like the up and under reverse lay up, that later generation players like Kobe and Wade saw and added on to.

  • @Justice777Allah

he has more tracks rappin about rappin than anything else.

kool g rap > rakim, to me. big pun and kool g rap could definately touch pun. if it wasn't for his lp he came out with in 97, i wouldn't consider him better than az, or nas or gza etc.

  • @cormega100

I really don't know how you got so many thumbs up for saying that. You could of used any rapper as a better example than Nas.

Ra invented alot of stuff for hip hop, actually he invented more than any other single rapper has. The truth is though, Nas enhanced on it all. For example, Rakim creates internal rhyme schemes. He is the first to do it. Then Nas comes along with Illmatic and does it way better than anybody else.

    Nas > Rakim

  • Rakim was smart enough to say how everyone else wanted his daughter singing on his song, just in case it came out weak, so he can't be blamed for it.

  • @Jackstar601 ????????

  • do these Rappers ever grow up

  • @Dungeondust why need to grow up when they make more money being the way they are

  • @dgomesman thank you remind him that we are in america and you can be whoever you want to be

  • @pagola uk actually

  • @Dungeondust what is growing up? stop making music? stop creating your own jobs? rakim created his own stuff....they're men that wear 3 piece suits who work on wall street who have "grown up" yet they are picking up prostitutes and scamming people out of money. rakim is a family man and a musician.

  • The Greatest Of All Times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Definitely a legend !!!

  • he has been toking up cuz his lips turnin black messin wit dat WEED

  • My best memories of growing up come every time I hear a Rakim song!! He is No. 1 on my Top Ten Favorite Rappers... He kept me conscious without me realizing it. Much love and peace to the God!

  • Peace GOD.

  • rakim is such a cool guy , I like how humble he is ..3:42
