god this has got to be one of my favorite dances by Zoe. She is like soo friggin fucking amazing! she is THE shit. i look at her and i am thinking (and feeling) OH MY GOD.. there are no words to describe how she really feels the music.
Ok, I love her soooo much! If I were there I would be the one screaming,"you rock"! If I ever got the amazing response she gets from the crowd, I think I'd pee myself..LOL!!!!
im siting rit on front the nerd with the camara i was in aaaa..... i didnt want to miss nada so i was just taking pixs like crazy wasent even looking at the camara hahaha. she rocks her workshop was killer. thank you for posting.
no hehehe im the nerd. i dont look at the camara at all when i was taking pixs so they didnt come out so good some are blury becuz i didnt use flash :(
Zoe is truly an inspiration to watch. I always assumed bellydancing was out of my league (the lack of actual bellydance schools close by didn't help), but with youtube's help I've begun to pick it up piece by piece. If I ever reach half of Zoe's skill level it'll be considered an accomplishment. She's a joy to watch and definitely my favorite dancer of all time, other bellydancers could pick up a thing or two from her creativity. And she always looks so happy to dance!
Um... I understand the lack of schools.. but learning thru Youtube isnt the best to do, I'd even dare call it unethic since u practically have to copy someone else's intellectual property. If you have internet you can order DVD's and get them sent to your house, that way you'd actually be learning and also giving a little something back to these creative monsters of bellydance for their art, Zoe has a new instructional DVD! and you could also save money and travel to get some quality education
@principessachuck While learning through YouTube can lead to copying, I really feel that this is not always the case. I would compare it to learning some choreography in a workshop or from a DVD and practicing it until it becomes second nature, so you can then incorporate the new moves-combinations you've learned into your own repertoire seamlessly.
As long as you're not copying someone's choreography I say go for it!
@principessachuck I wouldn't say it's unethical at all. Some people don't have the money for classes or dvd's. You can learn a lot from watching videos on youtube. If you watch enough and learn the moves, you'll eventually have enough stored in your memory to begin creating your own style. I know this because this is mostly the way I learned. Learning is learning even if it is from the internet. It doesn't hurt to have someone correcting your mistakes though.
Not everyone lives near a bellydancing community or can afford to buy lots of instructional DVDs. I don't think one should limit themselves based on their circumstances. I say learn anyway that you can. Of course you have to develop your own style along the way.
@xxbrittanixx As a bellydance teacher myself I just have to say I'd feel robbed if someone learned one of my choreographies without giving me any kind of credit or benefit, its like piracy, like making a copy of a movie from a dvd, of course it all boils down to what you want to do with the "learning", if you just do it for fun then its pretty much your problem.Im just saying:Think about what you do or dont do for these artists whose work is displayed on YT ,they've worked so hard!
@principessachuck I am a bellydance teacher as well. I do not agree with learning someones entire choreography, but watching and picking up technique is absolutely fine!
First is still a mystery from a video Sharon Kihara danced to it in...second is Mannish Boy by Muddy Waters, third (strings) and fourth (bells, rough beats) also no idea, but the last is an unreleased Beats Antique song.
The 4th song is actually "Immature" by Bjork (Ghost in the Shell Remix) until 5:13. That part (if you listen to the song) isn't for like, 2 1/2 minutes into the song.
The last song has been released (thank GOODNESS!!) It's Spiderbite by Beats Antique.
she is amazing.
