Why did you agree to have the cable ran like that? You could of said no? Plus wiring problems in your home is your problem. It's like if an electrical outlet in your home goes bad do you call the electric company to fix it? No, you call your electrician
Have fun with AT+T, your line is either too long like he said, or it is damaged in the wall somewhere. Have an electrician run a new one in the wall, have a signal amp installed problem solved.
@Legendq2 They ran a new line to the house and it's didn't get too much better. He told me that if we installed an amp it COULD work, but wasn't guaranteed a fix. An amp will also amp the bad signal so no quick fix there. We ended up just dropping the TV service. We now enjoy lower monthly expenses as well as a cleaner mindset due to not watching useless junk.

@Funfen0 While true, this requires money. At the time that was a little tight and I couldn't swing the wiring fee and was just over it anyway.
