Yesterday, i saw 2 of the TF's Rescues...Rescue Ambulance 66, and 866 responding, then i an hour late i see TF's Engine 266 Responding to a medical. On the Way Home, i see Truck 66 Heading back to Quarters on Western and Vernon Ave. Task Force 66 is a Blessing,need to appreciate them more. Hats off to You...

yes, it will be joined with either single engine companies or other task forces depending on the size-up. Task Forces respond to all structure fires, can respond to physical rescues, sometimes broken into a light force(1 truck and 1 pump 200series engine)along with a single engine, or solo light force resonse to an EMS call. a task force just means the configuration of a truck, pump and engine from 1 station. Heavy Rescue, USAR (urban search and rescue) and Haz-Mat squads handle special calls.
In LAFD terminology, a task force consists of a station containing 1 truck, 1 fire engine and 1 pump{200)series engine. total of 3 fire apparatus in that order minimum.
Great video. I couldn't imagine how cramed and confused everything was for the emergency services a few weeks ago when the commuter train and a freight train collided head on. Something like 25 killed and over 100 people transported to the hospitol. That was a mess.
I think they still do. This station is one of the hardest station to keep up with! Strong workers here! Proud to be a part of this station! Old Friend Mathews! Miss that Kat!

Oh yes, good old Task Force 66. I was an Explorer there in the early 90's on "C" Platoon. Great times and I learned so much.
