I understand some japanese and from what i understand dineogeist killed himself to shatter exkaisers delusion that he could protect everyone without anybody dying. At some point exkaiser tells him everyones life is important, including dinogeists and that he would defeat him without killing him to which dinogeist replies "ydo you really think you can do it?". Afterwards he flies himself into the sun.
even until death dinogeist is so full on his pride that he wont even let exkaiser destroy him.. or send him in.. anyways... this is as great as fighbird's last battle getting their mouthpieces destroyed
Raijin-Oh was part of the Eldoran series, which was sort of like a spinoff of the Brave series (which started with Exkaiser) with a different toy company (Tomy, I believe, as opposed to the Braves' Takara).
Now that Takara and Tomy have combined, the Braves and Eldorans were sort-of consolidated. Sort of.
So, in short, yes, it should be at least a little familiar-looking if you've seen Raijin-Oh!

At the end, he states "Life is a treasure... You think I'd just hand mine over to you!?" Dinogeist was a pirate who valued treasure for treasure's sake. He died to take the last of his treasure with him, instead of letting Exkaiser take him into custody.
@Mechafire Great ExKaiser said that he would not kill Dinogeist, but instead put him into prison, and I guess that Dinogeist would rather die in battle like a warrior, instead of sitting in a jail cell like a rat, which is why he killed himself.
By far my favorite battle of the entire Yuusha/Brave series. It's too bad none of the fights in the rest of the series were able to surpass, much less match, this one. Minor trivia: It's hard to notice due to the quality and size of the clip but during the final strike, both robots start forming cracks in their bodies from the power of each other's final attack.

So, he killed himself, just to beat Exkaiser.
