When I first saw it the thing was in better condition. I had wanted to rebuild the wheels using slave labor provided by High Schools in the area but their wood working shops are generally all closed down due to the lack of money.
I understand what your saying,it would be ok to do modern repairs if someone wants it for a conversaion piece. But if someone wants it for value if it has any I don't know, it all depends on who wants it. It would de-value it it modern day repair was done on it.

That's definitely a relic, and as Mobiltec says very restorable. A knowledgeable collector could probably even date it.
