    When you collect enough diamonds, you hear the exit-door open, and you see the flash (as you explained).

    When you get a bonus-life, you see the flickering in all the 'empty' tiles.

    A bonus life is usually granted for each 500 points.

    Further information: Amoeba can grow max. 200 tiles. If it reaches this limits, it turns into boulders.

    If on the other hand, the amoeba is blocked, so it is not able to grow at all, it turns into diamonds.

  • omg we used to play boulderdash back in the 80s with my brother. it was commandore 64 game back then and it was awesoma, thoug i wasnt very good at it

  • Back in 1993/1995 I made a Boulder Dash clone twice, one for the Atari ST and one for the Atari Falcon, called "Boulder Smash". The latest one is my clone for the Apple Macintosh called "Crystal Gems 3.0". :-)
