Yeah, with a race driver. The manufacturer times account for an average driver. And even if it has seen 12.9, its still quite impressive to see a time in the 11's with a GT, not the GXP. I was simply commenting that the time is great, and there must be other mods.
they have them running 10.7 with twin turbo. and low 11's with superchargers and nos also. fasest no cam or power added so far is the 12.1 for a gt. not sure gxp..cammed they hitting 11's quite easy..with good drivers. specially with drag radilas and stalls

big deal...turn the boost up on an e55 and they run low 11's to high tens..all day long....and btw put all the money on pontiac you want...they are HISTORY...just like olds...
E55 AMG... 1/4 Mile 12.4 @ 114... So the G8 has the power + better traction 11.8 vs 12.4 My father has a CLS63 AMG and ran 12.25 @ 116.84 at the track with only a 2.0 60ft. He's shooting for an 11.90 or better this spring when the temp is in the 60's outside. This run it was in the low to mid 40's, so traction wasn't great. Nice GXP & great run!!

the g8 runs 13.5 stock. the gxp has already seen 12.9 completly stock with right driver.

E55 and G8 are not in the same class.
with the money you save from buying a G8 you can easily make it faster than the E55, even SL63.

I love G8s but a E55 can easily out run a 11.98 with minor boost add ons and a tune
supercharger is easily upgraded with just a smaller pulley
nice runs for sure tho but dont underestimate a E55 their faster than the new E63s
