Downgrade 3.1.1 Firmware +Jailbreak (iPhone/iPod Touch)

i forgot to put it in that mode when i tried to down grade and now my ipod screen just shows a plug in and itunes like i have to connect to itunes to fix it but when i try to format it, it just says i cant for some wierd reason.. so now my ipod is useless.. what do i do??

i get error 20.. and it only lets me download 3.1 or higher on my ipod touch 1st gen. and i want to get to 2.2.1 any ideas or help?

When i do this will all ma applications go or will they stay and plus if they go and i download them will it say this application has already been downloaded would u like 2 download it for free and plus will i still be able 2 download stuff from app store

This worked on downgrading from 3.1.2 to 3.0 on my iPhone 2.0 (1st Gen). I was able to use redsn0w to unlock to use 3rd party carrier and jailbreak to install cydia. After complete unlock and jailbreak, I was able to restore contacts and pics from iTunes recovery. Thanks.

It doesnt works for me, if i see the usb and itunes thing then i see restore i press shift and restore i click for 3.0 firmware then i wait then i get an ''eror 20''
